Technical Proposal to NDMC

Executive Summary

Executive Summary

The growing economy and increased expectations of citizens has, undeniably, put a pressure on the servicing departments to meet their demands effectively and timely. New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) besides providing basic municipal services also provides electric and water services to its citizens. Globally private sector companies have extensively adopted information technology to increase their efficiencies and to reduce the cost of servicing their customers. This has increased the level of expectations of the citizens and today they demand the same level of services from the Government departments as they receive from the private sector companies. They consider better services from the Government department as their right against the tax that they pay to the central and state governments.

In order to serve its citizens better and to meet the expectations of the citizens, NDMC has taken up an ambitious project of automation of power distribution network. The project on one hand would help NDMC improve its service delivery and strengthen, systematically augment, plug in revenue leakages and reduce overall losses on other hand.

This technical proposal is in response to the request for proposal (RFP) floated by NDMC. We consider it our privilege to participate in this bidding process and we believe that this association would help NDMC create benchmarks for other Government departments.

Understanding the significance of this project, we provide:

A team with diverse and rich experience in all the areas of work that are critical for the success of this project including domain, process design, technology, organization and change management

A team that has worked on projects of similar nature

shortages

16. Minimize manual interventions for data / meter readings

17. Monitor and control feeder parameters in real time basis remotely based

on available energy, grid frequency, theft prone areas

18. Monitoring the transformer load and ensuring its healthy parameters

19. Plan load shedding

20. Help in implementing distribution reforms

Our understanding of power distribution organization is it is decentralized in its operations and centralized in its decision making. The corporate decisions are taken from the information that is generated at the field offices. Majority of the information is generated at sub division stage which moves through various administrative offices to the Head Office.

The organization depends heavily on the data / information that is generated at the field offices for taking corporate / strategic decisions. Therefore, we also emphasize heavily on the quality of information generated at the sub division level, i.e., at the source itself. The information from the computer system is based on GIGO philosophy, which also brings us back to the same point that information collected at the sub division (source point) has to be accurate, and complete to take informed and right decision.

Page 13: NDMC Proposal Final

Pag

7

Technical Proposal to NDMC

Understanding of business requirements

The main source for data generation is a sub division office and we request NDMC officials that the focus of the project implementation be at sub division offices. The historical data that is available in digital or manual form needs to be migrated into the proposed system. The digital data will be migrated through our data migration strategy (proposed separately) and the manual data would be digitized through data digitization strategy.

We are aware that the project does not involve implementation of

software as per the tender specifications but installation of necessary hardware at data center, creation of disaster recovery site, creation of test and development environment, creation of network and security infrastructure and most importantly change management.

The technical infrastructure for wide area network, customer care center, disaster recovery site all requires meticulous planning and thoughtfully defined bill of material. We, as a technology organization, believe that this can not be done unilaterally and requires continuous discussions and reference citations to protect the investment.

We are submitting this technical proposal with high level requirements keeping all the requirements in mind so that project success is ensured.

It is not possible to define all the requirements at this stage and we propose to have joint interactions with your management and IT personnel to finalize other business requirements for successful implementation of the project.

Module: Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management

Brief description

Meter Data Management comprises of the loading, controlling, validation, editing, and estimation related to Advanced Metering Infrastructure and traditional Meters.

MDM (utilities) processes inbound meter data from any meter manufacturer, validates and corrects the data. The processed data is stored into the respective repository for use by the Users.

MDM provides basic data for further processing by the Billing, settlement, load research, pricing, forecasting and revenue management

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management Overview

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management, illustrated in the diagram below, integrates with multiple AMI/meter solutions shown on the left hand side. The Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management application in the centre acts as the central data repository for all information providing validated “clean” data for downstream systems such as CIS and Billing systems shown below.

Business Functionality Overview

This section contains an overview of the Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management product. The following list contains the major functional areas:

Integration with Data Collection Systems – Loading Usage and Event

Interfacing with the metering head end systems that includes traditional systems and AMI/smart meters that employ two way communication infrastructures. The communication comprises of receiving usage and events as well as calling two- way commands like on-demand readings, remote connects, remote disconnects, etc.

Oracle MDM has been integrated via Product integration or implementation configuration for systems such as Echelon, Elster, TWACS (Aclara), MV-90, Cellnet

Issuing AMI Commands

Two way commands to control remote meters. The capabilities vary of the meters and AMI head system varies and most providers provide the two commands such as

Demand reading, Remote connects Remote disconnects

The solution has the capability to issue AMI commands from the meter screens. The MDM component determines the specific AMI commands to call and provides the response from the Ami system.

Our Solution

MDM has long list of validating, editing and Estimating (VEE) rules and are applicable to standard three types of meters

Consumption / Scalar Interval / Time series meters Time of Use (TOU)

The VEE is assigned to User type validation groups. The validation groups are then assigned to meter configuration records. This allows VEE rules to be applied to one or more meters.

Users are also allowed to assign tolerance levels, parameters and exception codes for each VEE rule.

Assigning Validations and Validation Groups

Standard Validation

MDM has prebuilt rules. That is included in the library. Example

Estimation

The use of historical values for filling the missing data for consumption readings is included as pre built methods for estimations.

The additional estimation methods and rules can be configured.

Event and Exception Management

This functionality enables the user to view the meter events such as outage, theft etc., usage exceptions and process errors. The application automatically route these errors to work queues for manual resolution.

The event resides in MDM tables and has the possibility for generating work queues for user interaction. Work Queues functionality is a product component intended for manual work assigned to a user or group of users. The user is also provided with hints and workflow to assist in accessing information. An example of this would be when viewing a Work Queues hint for a usage spike failure; the user is taken to an interval data editor for that meter reading. There the user would have the option to change the data. Once the data is corrected (or not), the user will have the option to re-validate the reading or approve (verify) the reading with no further validations.

In addition to exception management, the Work Queues functionality provides approval capabilities. Work Queues/Approvals allow problems to be directed to the appropriate user or team for rapid resolution. It includes a set of system administrator and management tools including reporting to monitor progress for each queue.

Outage and Restoration Events

There are events other than events of MDM that must be processed by other systems. A major set of these events is outage and restoration events. The MDM is configured to route these kind of messages to Outage or Network Management.

In this way the Outage systems begin using meter level events in their outage Processes. These events also play an important role in the smart grid operations including switching operations.

Bill Determinants and Dynamic Tariffs

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management can implement virtually any billing determinant rule including Time of Use (TOU), Critical Peak Pricing (CPP), and net metering using Oracle Utilities Rules Language. Oracle Utilities Rules Language, a scripting language, can be applied differently to different meters based on any meter attribute or rate schedule. Tariff information can be associated to accounts and the software can calculate bill determinants based on the available metering data for downstream billing systems. This reduces the impact that advanced metering deployment and the use of more complex and dynamic tariff may have on customer care and billing systems.

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management can also be used in conjunction with Oracle Utilities Billing Component software (separately licensed) to provide a comprehensive billing and metering data management solution. Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management and Oracle Utilities Billing Component software share common databases, rules repository, web screens, security, and reporting infrastructure providing a tightly integrated solution. The software can also be configured to provide billing interfaces to other systems including Customer Information Systems (CIS).

Our Solution

The critical periods of high usage or in a dynamic pricing environment, the MDM software is required to understand the price events and accurately monitor the customer behavior via their usage. At the same time, it is also critical to understand the responsiveness of customers to price signals to optimize demand response strategies. The MDM addresses, via configuration (Oracle Utilities Rules Language, meta-data, and web services), the processing of demand response information. Demand Response (DR) Phases:

Schematic of Service Order Processing

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management can be configured, via Oracle Utilities Rules Language and meta-data, to address the automated processing of field service orders. The application will identify meter errors and other events that require service order processing. It then automatically generates a service request as an outbound event or message that can then be sent to the appropriate internal system or systems.

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management can also be configured to generate service orders based on business logic to help eliminate unwarranted field service calls. This logic may be based on numbers of occurrences over a period of time, severity of the error, or other business reasons.

Web Presentment

In numerous marketplaces, sharing consumer usage information is a key driver for deployment of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The goal is to alter consumer’s energy usage behaviour by shifting their high- energy activities to periods when demand is lower. This potentially also promotes a more conservative consumer. When consumers understand how they use energy and when it is more cost effective to do so, they will ideally use less energy when financially motivated.

Our Solution

In most cases, utilities want to show customer usage on their existing portal along with billing data, rate information, and payment information from their Customer Information System (CIS). To address this, Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management provides web services that can be used to present usage and other Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management data on the client’s portal. Web services APIs allow portals and presentment tools easy access to the data without having to replicate the data in their repository. The Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management web services include security to prevent unauthorised access to the data.

Revenue Protection

Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management also provides functionality to track and manage both tamper and theft situations. These situations can be identified by VEE exceptions, meter events, or a combination of both. Examples of these revenue protection activities include tilt, reverse rotations, tamper alerts, zero consumption, and low usage when compared to historical usage or low usage when compared to a profile. Additional, client- specific rules can be added, as required.

The application provides screens and reports to perform analysis on these occurrences. In addition, the application can also perform average daily usage (ADU) tolerance checks by comparing the ADU for a meter reading to an assigned meter profile. Users are provided screens to graphical compare the two readings and to search for possible reasons for this anomaly. An example of this is shown below. When an energy discrepancy is found, the screen can show the actual usage (green curve), the profile usage (red), and the variance (blue). The detection rules can be configured to trigger service orders for field inspection or just exceptions for users to investigate the identified anomalies.

Module: Oracle Utilities Energy Accounting System

Brief Description:

Energy Accounting is a process for recording, tracking and reporting the amount and costs of the various consumable utilities used by commercial-scale facilities. Oracle Energy accounting functionality makes it easier to enter or import data, provides ready-made reports, and calculates corrections for some factors that affect energy use. Energy Accounting functionality can take inputs from Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing for billing and collection aggregates, Oracle Utilities Network Management System for any network configuration changes and estimation of technical losses. The Energy Accounting functionality uses profiling capabilities provided by Oracle Utilities Rules Language to compute energy balance at the distribution transformer and feeder level. It uses the aggregation capabilities of Oracle Utilities Rules language to produce Energy Accounting results at different administrative jurisdiction and network element level.

Energy accounting can help your organization understand how energy is used and can help motivate people to take actions that can result in significant utility cost savings. However, many organizations do not realize the full benefit of tracking energy consumption and cost.

The biggest pitfalls that keep organizations from effectively using energy accounting data are:

• Lack of staff time and commitment in maintaining the system. • Failure to communicate the results to the right people.

To make the most of energy accounting, it is crucial to allocate sufficient staff time for setting up and maintaining the system, and to develop a system of communication with administrators, facilities staff, and others whose decisions affect energy use. Energy accounting by itself will not save energy. But when used as a tool of energy management, it can help you make changes in operations or equipment that save energy dollars. Energy accounting can also help in budgeting, allocating resources for capital investment, and verifying the results of all of your energy management activities.

Our Solution

Oracle Utilities Network Management System provides graphical user interface(GUI).

The Oracle Utilities Network Management System security is user, role and function based. At login, the system prompts for a user name and password. The system displays a user type options menu, from which the users can select any user type or environment that they are authorised for. Once logged in, the system starts the windows and functions available for that user type.

Oracle Utilities Network Management System utilises configuration tables for user and environment. Valid users are defined in a user table. Each user is given a user name and password that must be entered to gain access to an environment. The full name of the user is added for further identification. Each user only has access to the environments specified in an environment table. A script starts each environment.

The environments for which, a given user is authorised and maintained by a system administrator. Each environment is set up via a project administrator to support a specific set of functional capabilities and optionally restricted access to those functionalities (read-only for example).

Oracle Utilities Network Management System presently manages user names and passwords locally within the Oracle RDBMS. The system has a Configuration Assistant” tool to add/delete/modify valid system users.

Users can change their own passwords.

System can have multiple profiles so different user types can have different views and access rights.

System can support a re-logon option to keep current session/login active for rapid shift change

Oracle Utilities Network Management System offers a Symbology Editor feature which helps users in defining symbols.

NDMC can define various User Types for Oracle Utilities Network Management System through a GUI. The User Type definition can restrict access to tools allowing users to access only the parts of the system required for their specific duties, such as Crew Management. Crew Management is a standard predefined User Type within Oracle Utilities Network Management System.

The Viewer provides a graphical display that is dynamically refreshed as changes occur in Oracle Utilities Network Management System. The Viewer allows other graphic indicators to be shown surrounding the target device to identify crew(s) dispatched to the device, SCADA digital status and quality codes, SCADA analogue measurements and quality codes, trouble call predictions, notes, and tags.

Our Solution

Oracle Utilities Network Management System allows unique symbology to be defined for each device and outage status to represent normal and abnormal states. Symbology can also be defined to represent normal and abnormal conditions on a phase level for multi-phase devices that can operate on an individual phase level.

Oracle Utilities Network Management System can also display indicators for various conditions on each device.

Oracle Utilities Network Management System allows unique symbology to be defined based on Call Trouble Codes so that clues can be associated to the predicted device an allow the dispatcher to readily see and assess the nature of the outage event.

Users can toggle the Viewer between the Real-time and Study mode. Within the Study mode, users can change the status of the model without affecting the real-time status. This allows users to perform “what-if” analysis prior to execution in real-time.

Oracle Utilities Network Management System provides a SCADA Alarm Summary which shows SCADA measurement values that are outside its

defined limits.

Oracle Utilities Network Management System allows call entry when the customer information system is not available, in order to handle the situation when call comes from emergency services like police, fire etc.

An illustrative design of the data center is as follows

Explanation of proposed network architecture

Internet bandwidth from 2 different ISP’s from internet routers will be load balanced by Link load balancer and routed to the IPS for first level of security check. The proposed IPS will first inspect the packet from layer-4 to layer-7.After inspection of the intrusion DOS, DDOS etc the traffic will come for the second level of security check to the external firewall. It will inspect for the malicious, junk traffic and drop the infected which can create the problem for the entire network. Then the third level of security check will be done at the internal firewall after this the trusted and authorized users can come and access the resources of the DC through internet. The proposed external firewall will also check and authenticate the MPLS users & traffic for datacenter intranet access. The web users and traffic which are coming to use the DMZ will be routed to DMZ (De-Militarize zone) of the datacenter and access the resources and server placed in the DMZ or internet Zone of the complete datacenter.Proposed components are fully capable of handing the load of the latest available application and databases. All the servers are suggested to proposed with HIPS security.

Complete data of the datacenter will reside at a common SAN storage and will be backed up at Tape backup device. suggested storage is also scalable as per the future requirement. The proposed SLB will distribute the load on the web and application servers as per the availability and performance of the servers. We can create a logical segmenting on the SLB for the DMZ and MZ, if approved by NDMC.

NOTE

These recommendations are preliminary in nature, based on limited information, and should be used for budgetary purposes only. The actual size of hardware depends on many parameters specific to New Delhi Municipal Council’s (NDMC’s) environment. A thorough investigation will be conducted during implementation time before ordering production hardware.

Note that hardware and system operation software is dependent on specific environment and configuration for NDMC. Vayam however recommends that NDMC consults its existing hardware vendor, if any, and conduct further examination to validate the estimates. The beginning of the implementation phase will start with a workshop to help determine the infrastructure requirements for NDMC.

Whilst all care and attention has been made to provide the best possible recommendation, Vayam will not be responsible for the performance of the production hardware and Vayam does not undertake or commit to providing any hardware in connection with this proposal in this cost. If Vayam is selected as the preferred vendor, NDMC is free to procure hardware directly from a third party provider or may give us a separate work order.

A strategy for data migration shall be formulated along with the officials of NDMC, suggested components of the strategy are as follows:

What data and from when that needs to be converted into digital format

Data from which offices is to be converted into digital format

On which software the data entry will be carried out

Where will the data entry be done; will it be at the head office (and all the

physical records will be brought there) or will the same be done at field offices

Will the data entry be done simultaneously for all the offices at one instances

(in parallel) or it will be carried out in series

The language in which data entry is to be done (English / Hindi / any other

language)

The person in charge from each of the field office who would be responsible

for end to end affair

What percentage of accuracy is expected

Who are the people who do the data verification

Whether any honorarium would be paid for data verification or not

If honorarium is to be given then what honorarium would be provided for the

people doing the data verification

When would the same be disbursed

What is the level of training / orientation that needs to be given to the data

verifiers

What activities are expected out of the data entry agency

What would be the time frame for data entry work

What kind of arrangement needs to be done with data entry agency

What are the risks associated with data entry outsourcing and what are the

mitigation plans

Project Plan

We would complete the project as per the requirements of NDMC as mentioned in the RFP document. As of now we have envisaged the project plan based on the preliminary information available with us. We understand that this is quite basic and can not be used to formulate a firm plan, however, we have estimated a plan that can be a guidance force for the project.

Expanding the implementation period we would be taking up the project as per the following plan.

Approach & Methodology

We would deploy our experienced resources in this project to excel the

expectations of NDMC. We believe that the success in project is achieved by

deeply ingraining quality in each activity that is undertaken. With this

philosophy in mind we propose to work along with you closely so that we can

compliment the skills and expertise of each other.

We understand that NDMC looks forward to adoption of Information

Communications Technology (ICT) and implement suitable integrated

application software for all of its business processes across all locations. We

have carefully studied the scope of the project and expected outcomes at each

stage of the project.

We propose to employ Vayam’s Productivity Enhancement By Collaborative

Envision (PECE), and Assumption Analysis For Process Reforms (AAPR)

methodologies to execute this assignment.

The necessity of having multiple methodologies is due to the complexity of the

assignment requiring multiple areas of specialized input. Vayam is a quality

driven organization and believes in adding value to its client in each activity to

create a long term relationship.

The overview of the aforementioned methodologies is:

(1) The “Productivity Enhancement By Collaborative Envision”

methodology is used for development of envisioned blueprint for the

organization. This methodology is built to carry out assessment of As –Is

environment and concludes with framing of “To Be Environment”.

(2) The “Assumption Analysis for Process Reforms” methodology is used

for gap analysis and process reengineering.

Approach

Page 95: NDMC Proposal Final

9

Technical Proposal to NDMC

Approach & Methodology

In order to In order to complete a complex, multidisciplinary project of this

nature, Vayam brings in its proven approach and adapt the same to the domain

requirement. Vayam’s approach to understanding processes and activities is:

Consultative – we will consult with the teams who actually operate the process

in practice, and understand the ‘as is’ processes. These are the people who

understand the activities as they really happen.

Visible – we will use process maps as a diagrammatic tool to help people

understand the process flows. This makes explicit how activities impact on each

other as the process is followed downstream, and presents a clear picture of the

interfaces in the process. Vayam is experienced in using a variety of process

mapping tools and is happy to adopt the preferred tool within NDMC.

Customer-centric – all process design must be end-user lead, i.e. processes

are designed backwards from the final customer to the initial supplier of

service.

Preventive – process review requires investigation into the root causes of

process failure and the resolution of these problems rather than the short-term

‘fixing’ of the symptoms of process failure.

Approach & Methodology

There are two broad steps under PECE

methodology, namely (1) Assessment and

(2) Envisioning

Step 1 Assessment: This step confirms

NDMC’s needs, maps the As-Is

processes to assess the areas of the current environment under the scope for

improvement opportunities and agree upon the opportunities for improvement.

Step 2 Envisioning: This step envisions the future environment for NDMC to

explore and develop further strategies.

Productivity Enhancement By Collaborative Envisioning methodology is built

around into the following 5 distinct phases:

Phase - Zero: Project Planning and

Resource Mobilization

Phase - One: Assessment of

Business Needs

Phase - Two: Assessment of As – Is

Phase – Three: Defining

Improvements Opportunities

Phase – Four: Blueprinting Future

domain expertise is prepared.

While we develop an internal

Approach & Methodology

team we also create a project organization for overall ownership and success of

the project. A steering committee comprising Senior Management from your

organization and a Project Director from Vayam is also formulated.

We would propose a management team at this phase, which will be responsible

for overall execution of the project on day to day basis. This team will be

provided weekly status report and will also help to resolve the issues that are

faced during the study phase and implementation of the project. It is at this

stage that the people from NDMC, who would be coordinators, are identified

and responsibilities of each resource both of Vayam and NDMC are drawn out

and given to the steering committee for setting up the expectations.

We are proposing a project plan as per our understanding of the project. This

project plan may require fine tuning after gaining additional knowledge of

NDMC. In case of any modification in the project plan, we would formally bring

the same to the notice of management highlighting the need and the benefits.

We would also identify project constraints, practical impediments if any during

this phase.

We will organize a Kick –off meeting where we would present our understanding

of the project, project plan, project organization, our approach & methodology,

activity schedule and delivery milestones. There will be an opportunity to

introduce the team members and the organizations.

The proposed team and project organization is provided in Team Composition

section of this proposal.

Phase – One: Assessment of Business Needs

NDMC’s vision and needs are assessed through interactive sessions with senior management. We take cognizance of where NDMC wishes to be in the future and what are the strategic imperatives of your organization.

We would initiate the assignment by understanding the following:

Confidential and Proprietary of Vayam Technologies Limited

Page 98: NDMC Proposal Final

Pag

e 8

9

Technical Proposal to NDMC

Approach & Methodology

Mission of NDMC

The mission of a company is a general statement of the purpose and nature of the enterprise (“the reasons to be in business”, “why the enterprise exists”).

Objectives of NDMC

The objectives are the broad results that the enterprise wishes to achieve on the longer term (say 5 to 10 years).

Strategies of NDMC

The strategies are the directions in which the enterprise will go to achieve its objectives.

Critical Success Factors

The Critical Success Factors (CSF’s) are those factors which will have a major influence on whether or not the enterprise will meet its objectives (“Those things which must go right”).

Inhibitors

Inhibitors are those factors that could prevent the enterprise from achieving its objectives (“problems, obstacles, that ought to be removed”).

Our consultants would invest their time to understand the aforementioned factors of NDMC before moving to the next phase.

Phase – Two: Assessment of As – Is Environment

In order to provide holistic productivity enhancement to NDMC we would ensure that a comprehensive studies on “As –Is Environment” is undertaken.

We undertake this phase to have understanding of current ways of working. We would understand each business process in detail to cover all the functional areas of NDMC.

The “As –Is Environment” study refers to study of processes of

NDMC and carrying out the followings:

Study of business processes

Understand the organization structure

Assessment of current IT environment

Gathering qualitative and quantitative data

Evaluation of as –is processes against stated Key Performance Indicators

(KPIs)

Identifying current process performance

Identifying the relationship between the processes

Understand the complexities with in a process

Study of best practices (through research and knowledge base of Vayam)

During the assessment phase we document the processes and prepare

process maps. We propose to use MS Visio to draw out process maps.

This would enable us in understanding and documenting the various activities

and tasks that make up the process. We assess the performance levels of each

of the process that is undertaken in the current environment. These

performance levels help us in identifying improvement opportunities and

subsequently drawing up the “To-Be Environment”

Besides drawing out the flow charts we would also capture and document

information on the following:

1. Data: historical data that is

maintained by NDMC

2. Data management policy: The

formal policies (documented or

not) regarding sharing of

information, classification on types

of data etc

3. Data Quality: The quality of data

that gets converted into

information and then subsequently

becomes part of MIS / DSS

4. Compliance: the compliance that

the department has to follow under

various Acts / Rules of Government

5. Process Owner: we understand the ownership of the process and

document the same.

Technical Proposal to NDMC

Approach & Methodology

We collect information to understand the “As –Is environment” through the

following:

1. Questionnaire

2. Interviews / Observation

3. Visit to the sites

4. Survey / Research

5. Existing Documentation

6. Focus Group Interaction

While we study IT infrastructure of the organization we would review the

existing applications on high level only and would not go into the details of the

functionalities of each of the business applications that exist at your

organization. We would make an inventory of the IT infrastructure for all the

departments / functions that are part of the scope of the work.

During the assessment of IT infrastructure we would cover communication

infrastructure, IT security management, hardware, portfolio of applications,

internal and external data sources used by the organization, data and

databases, openness and scalability of existing IT hardware and business

software. We would understand and take the stock of on-going efforts in

computerization / modernization.

In the assessment of organization structure we understand the capacities and

competencies of each of the existing resource and map the roles and

responsibilities of each identified resource.

We also understand the policies of the organization and assess the enabling

environment in its implementation.

Phase – Three: Defining Improvement Opportunities

In this phase we organize

various presentations and

brainstorming sessions to discuss the current state assessment and share the

same with the management to validate the documented “As –Is environment”

to enable us to determine improvement opportunities in the current business

environment. A set of improvement opportunities is identified and discussed

with key stakeholders for their implementation. We use the knowledge captured

during the “Phase – 1 Assessment of Business Needs” to explore the

improvement alternatives. It is this phase where we would analyze the best

practices of various ERP packages that are available in the market and on the

basis of best functionalities that are could be arrived at improvement

opportunities will be captured.

Phase – Four: Blueprinting Future Environment

We envisage integration of all functions of NDMC

and envision future scenario on a collaborative

platform using Information Communication and

Technologies (ICT). We draw out a “To – Be

environment” in this phase.

We prepare various business case studies to

ensure that a model that is sustainable and cost

effective is taken into the consideration for

development of future stage.

We take the service view in blueprinting the future environment. All the services

are taken in view and services are envisioned keeping service timelines and

delivery channels in focus. In

order to have efficient

process delivery system we

would create Key

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Approach & Methodology

At this stage again, we again engage key stakeholders of your organization to

share and discuss the future state highlighting the benefits of each of the

scenario taken into discussion.

We would prepare a framework for preparation of System Requirement

functionality requirements.

We propose to prepare the SRS document after we have carried out

Gap Analysis and Process redesigning

Assumption Analysis for Process Reforms Methodology

This is Vayam’s methodology for carrying out Gap Analysis and Process

Training Details: Work and Asset Management -System Admin

What you will learn

The System Administration subsystem of EAM is primarily used for

configuring settings. Through this subsystem, you can tailor the system to

fit your business structure and best practices. There are two main aspects

of configuration: User Configuration and System Configuration.

User configuration is the process of setting up employees to work with the

application. You can specify settings to control all aspects of the user's
