In search of Ganesha I went,Far and wide I looked for Him,No matter what I couldn't find Him,Tired and forlorn I sat for a while,Knowing not what to do,When I saw an old man standing,That too right in front of me,I joined my hands in respect,He raised one of His in blessing,I could notice the smile on his face,Of knowing what I wanted to know,So even without me asking He said,"You will find Ganesha, only if you know where to find,He is everywhere, yet no where to seek",The old man thus continued,"Seek Him where you sit,Seek Him with the syllable 'Gam',Let the sound travel to the base of you,All way through breaking all the Gordian knots,Once done you'll find Him sitting there,Eating away happily all your karmic fruits,Bow down before Him in supplication,Request Him to help you through,If pleased, He will rise and show you the way,To His most beautiful Mother Lalitha,For whom He stands guard resolutely,At the entrance to the Cave of Eternity.

That's not the case with you and me,We don't even know if there is a world beyond this,Although many have been discovered by Science,Yet when you care to look within all you find,Is a space filled with darkness, with no trace of light,You may ask how to search for the source of light,When all I see is darkness everywhere,Well let me tell you this, you and I are like the Fireflies,Searching the world for the source of light,When it is already within...

Some words are best left unspoken, to be rightly understood,Speak them aloud and they will be readily misunderstood,Not every feeling requires a verbal expression to be felt,Deep emotions can also express itself in wordless silence,So don't rely on the superficiality of words too much,Instead, learn to use the power of silence...

In search of the top I went,Forgetting the very root of it,Did everything to align the above,Not minding to strengthen the foundation,I climbed higher & higher in search of myself,But I failed to see it anywhere,Desperate to know where I went wrong,I approached my blessed Master for guidance,He saw my condition akin to a blade of grass,Moving with every gust of wind,Never steady even for a moment,Always pathetically swaying,He then said, what I had long forgotten,"Go back to your base, for there you'll find salvation",Now my downward climb has begun in all seriousness,It's not always you'll find completion at the top,Sometimes the very foundation holds the key,To yourself...
