Camping

Whether camping by tent or by

trailer, Rockwood is sure to be a

favourite spot for your family’ s

camping vacation. Up to six people

are permitted per campsite. Check-in

is after 2 p.m. and check-out is before

noon.

Canoeing / Kayaking

Canoeing is one of the most popular

activities at the park. Paddle the calm

waters of the Eramosa River and

explore the geological wonders.

Canoes and kayaks can be rented at

the beach boat house.

Swimming

Hit the beach on those hot, hazy summer days. Our

clean, sandy beach is a welcoming sight to those

looking to swim, picnic or simply relax in the sun.

There are no lifeguards, so parents and guardians

must keep a close watch on children at all times. A

lifejacket loaner program is available. Inquire at the

gatehouse. Water is tested weekly in the summer.

Hiking

The two main trails provide plenty of breathtaking

scenery including the river's edge, mixed forest and

unique geologic features. The trails can be accessed

from the beach or the mill ruins. The terrain in the

park consists of high clis and steep slopes –

exercise caution. For your

safety, and the health of this

unique environment, please

stay on the trails.
