Through education, business events and support services such as legal, finance, business and creative mentoring, we’ve built a loyal community consisting of more than 1200+ of Australia's best and brightest creative, digital and technical freelance professionals.

OVERVIEW

Operating out of a thriving co-working space in Melbourne, FreelanceAU has coordinated more than 70 events over the last 12 months, providing working and educational opportunities to new, existing and aspiring freelancers across the country.

NATIONAL FREELANCE DAY 2015

National Freelancer’s Day (NFD), to be held on 29 October 2015, is a national event to celebrate the contribution of Australia’s increasingly freelance and independent workforce.

The event was born from the team’s growing experience in working with freelancers and a thirst from the Australian freelance community for a major flagship event of this style. This year will host NFD’s inaugural event, with the intention of holding it annually.

NATIONAL FREELANCE DAY 2015

Primarily geared towards creative, technical and digital professionals, NFD will host a ‘mini-conference’ in the Melbourne CBD on 29 October 2015, where a mixture of educational, exhibition and networking opportunities will be available for freelancers, employers and vendors alike. A smaller celebration/networking event will be held in Sydney on the same date.

SPONSOR TESTIMONIAL: CLOUD CANNON

”The FreelanceAU group were great for getting focus-group-type feedback in a casual setting. While only some were freelance web designers and developers (our target market), all were willing and able to provide useful insight. Our highlight was

one member helping us identify our literal 'jaw-drop' moment!”

- Sam Bonney, Head of Marketing at Cloud Cannon
