National Christian Academy was founded in 1982 by Dr. Janice Lowery. We are considered the Light on the Hill, providing affordable quality Christian education in a safe and loving atmosphere where students are prepared for Christ and for college. Our academy has built a reputation on our well trained, committed, Godly and experienced staff. Our objective is to train students to have high spiritual moral value, to help students excel in their academic pursuits, and to win them to Christ. NCA enrolls students from K3 through 12th grade. We have relocated to a new building in Fort Washington, MD. Our academy’s student-teacher ratio is 22 to 1. We offer numerous extra curricular activities to cultivate the gifts and talents of approximately 500 to 600 students. Since the first graduating class of 1986, we have produced numerous college graduates and Godly community leaders across the nation.

It is our mission to train students by providing an environment conducive to learning and to stimulating emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual growth in each student leading them to a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to preparing students for college, life and eternity through excellent academics while fostering Godly character.

We offer a high-quality education for students from K3 to 12 grade. One advantage of being a small institution is that we pride ourselves on offering an intimate, one on one education for each developmental level.

Consistent monitoring and a powerful mentoring system provides the support for each student to achieve their full potential. Extension work is provided in lessons for students full understanding.

National Christian Academy works as one family in mentoring our students through the transition from Infancy to Primary to High School. We want your student to be a confident and successful learner who achieves beyond what is expected of them.

Each student is treated individually, carefully monitored throughout their progress and are guided in planning their next step in their education and life. All of our staff is dedicated and committed, ensuring that all students will get the very best.

We excel by working together to create a community that is constantly striving for the highest possible standards in staff and students.

As a team we constantly strive to achieve the best for you and your student. Education is a partnership between home and school and we place emphasis on our staff and their relationship with parents and studnets. We believe that children learn best when home and school work together for their benefit.

After School Clubs/Activities

At NCA we are able to offer a wide range of activities after school. There is a cost for some of the clubs and some are run on a voluntary basis, however students are expected to make a commitment to the activity and attend regularly.

There are many practices and those that show enthusiasm and skill have every opportunity to represent the NCA Eagles.
