The Indian astrology is based on the concept of Nakshatras (Constellations) and Rashis (as per moon signs). There are in all 27 Nakshatras present in a year and every individual has a Nakshatra assigned to him/her depending on the date and time on which he/she is born (the tithi). Every Nakshatra has a symbolic tree or plant that defines its connection with eternal nature. Each nakshatra is supposed to have a tree of its own, and it is believed the tree of nakshatra in which the person is born gives strength, prosperity, wealth and health to him References in Sacred Texts about growing Trees. TRANSCRIPT

Each nakshatra is supposed to have a tree of its own, and it is believed the tree of nakshatra in which the person is born gives strength, prosperity, wealth and health to himReferences in Sacred Texts about growing Trees.

By planting one peepul (ficus religiosa), One neem (Azadiracht indica), one bargad (ficus bengalensis), ten Imli (Tamarindus indica), Three Kaith (Vilaamaram(Limonia acidissima), Three vilva (aegle marmalos), Three aonla (Indian gooseberry- Phyllanthus embilica), and five mango (mangifera indica), one can never go to hell. (Bhahvishya Purana, Rajdharma Kaustubh Khand)Those who plant trees in this world beget sons in the netherworld.(Vishnudharma 91-4)Trees with flowers and fruits satisfy this world. Those who donate a tree are given salvation by the same trees in the other world.( Mahabharat Anu Parva 58/30)God Vishnu says that aonla (Indian gooseberry) is holiest of all fruits in all the worlds. Therefore it is important to plant aonla trees . By planting it, men and women get rid of the cycle of life, death and rebirth in this world.(Padma purana,. Srishti Khand, ch. 26, Shloka 2)By worshipping peepul and Khejadi (Prosopis cineraria, shami) trees , even a barren woman begets a child.(Atharva veda Pt. 612-11 first stanza)Wherever there are aonla trees, poverty disappears. All gods become satisfied by aonla trees, reside in it, and do not forsake it for a moment.(Padma purana Srishti Khand, Ch. 26, Shloka 15.)If you water a mango tree, the ancestors feel happy.(Mahabhashya, Part I)Lord Krishna states that He is Asvattha tree among trees. (Shri Bagavatha Maha Purana)Plants are mothers and Goddesses. (Rig Veda Samhita x-97-4)

Trees are homes and mansions. (Rig Veda Samhita x-97-5)

"Shri poonthanam namboodhiri who is the ardent devotee of Shree Guruvayoorappan used to recite ShriVishnu Sahasranamam daily by sitting in front of ShriGuruvayoorapan Maha Sannidhanam. Daily he recites Padmanaabho MaraPrabhu: instead of Padmanaabho Amaraprabhu:. The well versed Sanskrit scholar ,"Shri Melapathur Bhattadhiri" and the famed composer of Naraayaneeyam often used to laugh at his poor sanskrit. Once he was laughed at when Shri Poonthanam Namboodhiri wrongly recited "Padmanaabho Maraprabhu" . Maraprabhu means "Lord of trees" in malayalam. He laughed at him and said it is supposed to be "Amaraprabhu" (lord of immortals) and not Maraprabhu. Immediately there sounded a celestial voice that said that "I am also Maraprabhu".. So, from this we shall know that HE (Lord Sri Krishna) is also the lord of trees. In Ramayana, Raavanaa placed SriSeetha after abduction in Ashoka Vanam for the purpose i.e; Asoka trees will reduce the sorrows and increase the peace and calm in the mind. Where Asoka Trees are grown that place is very suitable for getting peace of mind and reduces our sorrows. If you googled the trees name and its medicinal effects or in Medicinal Encyclopedia, you will wonder how great our Indian Tradition is. Physique of every human will differs based on their astrological factors which are closely related to the trees. If he lives near the tree based on his birth star the three naadis (kapam, vaatham, pittham) will get equalized which is major factor for resistance and decides the condition of body. By breathing the air filtered by the trees his physique is maintained in such a way to develop the resistance power in his body.
