The C@ll Rider® tankmanagement system was designed for controlling and managing tank levels of oiltanks in garages. It stores incoming level data from the Tank Traks® and displays them on a secured web site. The system consists of four main com-ponents:The Tank Track® (tank sensor) measures the level in the tank and stores the data each hour. It transmits the data by RF communication (868 MHz) to the C@ll Rider® every four hours. The C@ll Rider® module acts as an interface between the Tank Trak® and the web server. It collects all data from the attached Tank Traks® (max. 16 pieces) and transmits them via internet to the server once per day. The C@ll Rider® is operated via the users telephone line, thus avoiding the need of battery or any power supply devices. Its installation requires less than one minute time.Incoming data from the C@ll Rider® are permanently and securely stored on the web server. From the web server, the data are ready for being displayed or processed on the customers systems. The website is the system’s display, control and management unit.

System overview
M1000 has been designed to fit into the MAG meter series and especially for ap-plications in machinery plants, vehicles and batching processes. The applica-tions range from DN6 to DN200 with the most various process connections like DIN flanges, dairy pipe connections, TriClamp®, etc.
The basic line of M1000 is provided with 24 VDC power supply, without dis-play, with passive outputs and can be programmed via a serial port RS232 or separate handheld. The device can also, upon request, be factory preconfigured and then just needs to be electrically connected on site.
The M1000 is encased into a powder-coated aluminium diecast housing IP 65 and has two M20 screws.
M1000 – The low cost alternative
ModMAGTM M3000/M4000
The new amplifier with modular design allows flow measurements in ex-zones 1 and 2, in either the mounted or remote version.
The basic line can be, upon request, provided with a four-line LC display, a 115/230 VAC power supply and active pulse and analog outputs.
The standard model M1000 is supplied with an analog output, two digital out-puts for pulse and frequency as well as a digital input.
With an accuracy of ±0,5 % of actual flow (> 0,5 m/s) and flow measurements ranging between 0,03 and 12 m/s in both directions, the flow meter covers a great variety of applications.
The M1000 is expected for May 2005.

The amplifier housing, made of powder-coated aluminium, is available in pro-tection class IP 67 and with a separate connection space. Programming can be done either with closed housing thanks to a magnetic pen or with open housing via three buttons. The four-line display shows all necessary data like actual flow, totalizer and status messages.
The programmable excitation frequency even enables the amplifier to be adjusted for difficult metering applications. The new developed process for amplifier compensation enables a high accuracy, especially in the lower flow range.
The ModMAGTM is especially suited for flow measurements in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, as well as water & waste water plants with explosion-proof zones.
RCDL, nickel-coated
The whole Recordall® series – from M25 to M170 – is now available in a nickel-coated version.Besides the present plastic and bronze models, the nickel version represents an ideal addition as flow measurements of both aggressive fluids and demineralized water are now possible with one single model. The electronic display is encased into a housing IP 67. The meter is provided with different scaled pulse outputs like 4-20 mA analog output, Namur, Modbus, etc.The nickel-coated model can also op-tionally be delivered for ex-i zones.

Coriolis mass meter TMU
Thanks to a great variety of materials like Hastelloy, nickel and Tantal and many connection possibilities, the TMU can be installed in many different industrial applications including chemi-cal, petrochemical, food, oil, gas and pharmaceutical industry. Thanks to its U-shape (against previous Ω-shape) it finds its best advantage in the food industry. The TMU is used in batching and loading plants, also in custody transfer applications.
Control valves for high pressure plants
To release airbags in motor vehicles, helium with a pressure of approx. 800 bars is required. Helium with that pressure rate is filled into cartouches which blow up the airbags in case of an accident. For this purpose, the com-pany Andreas Hofer Hochdrucktechnik GmbH is designing and manufacturing complete compressor plants to fill those cartouches. The company Andreas Hofer is developing and manufacturing the required membrane compressors themselves. As a market leader in this segment of the automotive supplier industry, the company Andreas Hofer is setting the highest standards in quality and service.Since the construction of such plants requires service from the very beginning of the planning stage, the complete valve selection has been carried out by Badger Meter.
The new TMU series is suited for measurement of almost all fluids and gases. Mass, density and temperature are measured simultaneously.
The TMU is provided in compact design or with remote electronics and in special versions for high pressures and high temperatures.
For the precise pressure control, we chose a valve type 16xx with a Kv-value of 0,0017. This rugged valve has been designed for a nominal pressure of 1000 bars. In order to control any pressure differences which may occur during the process, the valve has been supplied with titaniumnitrite-coated stellite as innervalve material.

Impeller meters: The meters for irrigation systems, building management and the general industry
The series MoniSonic 4500/4600/4700 (stationary) and PortaSonic 7000 (por-table) has been designed for exact and reliable non-intrusive flow measure-ment of supply and discharge water as well as other fluids. These meters are working on the transit time difference measuring principle and are best suited for flow measurement in pressure pipes DN 13 to DN 6000. Suitable strap-on sensors are available for the different pipe diameters. An advantage of the strap on sensors is that the sensors are mounted on the pipeline from the out-side, which means there is no need to cut the pipe nor to interrupt the process during the installation. The sensors can be mounted on horizontal or vertical pipes. For flow and level measurements in open channels and partially filled pipes, you now can choose between the following possibilities:
The iSonic 2000 is a versatile ultrasonic flow meter. The microprocessor-based meter was designed to measure levels/volumes in tanks or flows in open channels in combination with venturi channels or effluent weirs. The meter works according to the Echolot prin-ciple, which means that a free outlet in the channel/pipe is required for this measuring principle. Some Q/H formulas are already stored in the memory. A 15 point graph can be programmed for unknown Q/H conversions. When two sensors are in operation, the meter can be used for two channel measurements with separate totalizers or for differential

Impeller meters are a low-cost alternative in irrigation systems (sprinklers, chemical injection processes in water treatment, water management, etc.), in municipalities (fluoridation, pump control, etc.) in the energy management (HVAC, building manage-ment, energy consumption monitoring, outdoor lighting control, etc.) and in the general industry (batch processes for bakeries, adding color dye to water for textile, food processing, inks, and other color additive mixtures, adding liquid vitamins and nutrients to feed water for livestock, automatisation in the film industry, etc.).
The series 200 flow sensor is an in-sertion style flow sensor constructed of metallic and non-metallic materials. These sensors are designed for service in corrosive and non-corrosive liquids. The series can be installed in pipe sizes of 2½“ up to 40” (special models up to 120”) and includes a special potted version (IR models) for irrigation appli-cations (enabling direct mounting in the earth).T-type sensors offer another model vari-ation. These models have been designed for indoor or protected area applications such as HVAC, heat/energy monitoring, water cooling systems, pump control and industrial process monitoring. The 4000 series flow sensor is an inline, flow-through design using a tangential six-bladed impeller. The series is avail-able in 1⁄2”, 3 ⁄4”, 1” pipe sizes and is molded of PVC or PVDF materials. The compact design allows the 4000 series be used in a wide range of industrial applications, among them the flow measurement of ultra pure water in the semiconductor industry.
The SDI series flow sensor offers un-paralleled performance for liquid flow measurement in closed pipe systems. The impeller sensor is well suited for flow control, flow monitoring and batch type applications. The flow meter can be mounted in pipe sizes of 1,5” up to 48”. This sensor can be used for water appli-cations or, in the stainless steel version, for corrosive fluids at high temperatures and pressure rates. Bidirectional flow measurement or battery driven systems are available as an option.
The displays are available either moun-ted or as a remote version and can be supplied with various outputs.
measurement. The configuration of the flow meter is done via the front keypad or a PC. A data logger is integrated for recor-ding measuring data. The memory has a capacity of approx. 44000 records.
The DataControl 2500 is an evaluation device which can be connected to equip-ment with analog or digital outputs. It is used for applications as already described for iSonic 2000. The features and functions are also similar to the iSonic 2000.
The L2xx series is a two-wire ultrasonic level sensor designed for continuous level measurement of liquids or viscous fluids. The maximum flow ranges are 6, 8, 10 and 15 meters depending on type at a bloc distance of ≥ 250 mm.
