may be a few weeks due to the lab that processes the photos. Sorry for the

SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING

A reminder that our next School Council Meeting will be conducted on

Tuesday May 8th commencing at 5pm in our School Staffroom.

A very warm welcome to Mrs Foot who has accepted the .4 Teaching posi-

tion in grade 3/4 at our school. I am sure Mrs Foot will enjoy her time at our

school and we all look forward to working together.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

Please note, due to Grade 5 student being at Sovereign Hill next Monday, our Grade 6 students

will be presenting at our first assembly for Term 2. Our Grade 5 students will present at our

second assembly for Term 2 on May 7th. We hope you can attend.

CLOSET CLEANOUT—Collection from School—27th April Hope you were busy cleaning out your wardrobes during the holidays. Please bring your bags to school

by Thursday 26th April.

DENTAL VAN

The Dental Van has arrived this week. It’s not to late to book an appointment. Forms are

available at the school office.

CROSS COUNTRY

18 students from Grades 4/5 and 6 will be representing our School in Cross Country on the 27th

of April at Bostock Reservoir near Ballan. We wish them well and let's hope the weather is kind

on that day.

MINOR GAMES Minor Games will be running again this year and we will be commencing in Week 3, Tuesday 1st

May. The activity provided each Tuesday will be up to the discretion of the staff members who

are running the session. Activities will run for following seven Tuesdays commencing at 3:30 to

4:30pm and all children need to be collected by 4:45pm. The number of children participating in

these sessions will need to be limited to 40 . Please complete the permission slip below if you

want your child in the program and return asap. (Forms also available in the school office).

COLES SPORTS FOR SCHOOL

Thank you to everyone who has been brining in the Coles Sports for School Vouchers. If you still have some to

bring to school, can you please bring them in by Friday, as we will be sending them off to be counted.

2017 ANNUAL REPORT Building pride and confidence in government schools is a key focus of the Education State agenda. Our annual Report to our School Community is an opportunity for our school to celebrate and share the years achievements, milestones and improvements. It is also an opportunity to reflect on our school’s performance and understand where and how the improvement agenda has impacted student outcomes. The report will be tabled and endorsed at our next School Council Meeting on May 8th. The Annual Report will be available at our School Office and on our website after the meeting.

TISSUES

With winter coming, our school is asking each student to donate a box of tissues to their classroom. Your sup-

port would go along way towards catering for the cold and flu season.

MAJOR SCHOOL FUNDRAISER PEOPLE’S CHOICE COMMUNITY LOTTERY

This is one of our major fundraisers for the year and we are hoping everyone will get on board. The prizes are

amazing and there are over 30 prizes. You can sell tickets to everyone, anywhere, online (immediately) by

sending the link to friends and family. (A separate email will be sent with all the details and the link) Once you

are in the link, go to Purchase Tickets and enter all of your details. Please remember to share with friends and

family. Paper lottery tickets will be issued from 1st May 2018 and both online and paper tickets will be on sale

until 31 August 2018, with the final prize draw on 9th October 2018. Also early bird prizes are available so as

soon as you get the link please start purchasing and forwarding to EVERYONE!!!!
