inspiring surface design
Mykon Systems have been supplying the architectural and interior design markets with hard surface solutions since 1988.
By placing aluminium honeycomb core between toughened glass, metal, acrylic or polycarbonate skins, we have designed a striking range of products. With their geometric design and exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio, they can be used perfectly in both the architectural and interior design markets.
Mykon Systems believe that light is the most versatile resource available toarchitects and interior designers. Our panels come in a range of shapes and sizes so that you can decide how much light you want to use in a room. Mykon also offer transparent and opaque solutions using different coloured skinsand cores. This means we can offer an almost limitless amount of eye catchingdesigns. Our unique fish eye effect (produced by the special way the materials are bonded) makes the panels aesthetically pleasing and can still ensure privacyalthough the panels do not form a barrier to light.
The versatility of the Mykon product range affords excellent possibilities inapplication. In addition to traditional uses, such as partitions and screens, ourproducts are particularly suited for use in furniture, doors, floors and ceilings. Panels can be easily cut to any size or shape and where required waterproofed for external applications.
Mykon Systems is uniquely placed to utilise the expertise of the many divisionswithin the Encocam group. Our customers often praise our ability to offer designand technical support when developing their bespoke designs. Please contact us on+44 (0)1480 415070 or [email protected] where we will be happy todiscuss any new and exciting design ideas you may have and answer any queries.
Sustainability
Our panels can contribute to reducing your carbon footprint. B Clear for example has insulatingproperties, a high light reflectance value, and a 78% light transmission level. This means less heat and light will be needed in the finished building, which will reduce the finished building’s impact on the environment. Our panels can also be made using recycled glass on request.
Mykon B Clear panels provide an individual and sophisticatedalternative in architectural sandwich panels.
The stunning effect is achieved by bonding an aluminium honeycomb corebetween glass or polycarbonate skins. The fish eye visual effect, achievedthrough a unique bonding process, results in a hand made design whichguarantees exceptional high quality.
Each individual cell allows light to pass through, but together the cells remain translucent to ensure privacy when it is required.
B Clear is a lightweight but incredibly strong composite panel. The panelscan be fabricated in sizes up to 3000mm x 1500mm. Panels are available in a standard thickness of 25mm but can be provided in any thickness from 15-100mm.
The applications for B Clear are endless. It is ideal for incorporating intopartitions, screens, and floors or used to manufacture bespoke furniture. Exposed panel edges can be finished with clear or coloured edge strips or encapsulated in aluminium edge profiles.

Due to the success of our core product, the Mykon team have developed awhole series of products based on B Clear. Using the same unique bondingprocess, a variety of panels are available with a mix of acrylic and polycarbonateskins and coloured cores.
Iris Iridescent Panel
The B Clear Iris panel comprises of a 3mm polycarbonate sheetand a sheet of iridescent 3mm acrylic. The iridescent acrylic material shines a myriad of colours depending on the viewingangle and uses ambient light to create its own lighting effectswith mirror-like reflections. This makes it particularly suited torestaurant, nightclub and bar applications when backlit.
Frosted Skins
Crystalglaze The Crystalglaze panel uses an opaque polycarbonate to give a smooth matt finish effect. The panelproduces eye-catching silhouette effects when part of the panelis in shadow and offers more privacy than the standard B Clearpanel. Available with matt finish on one or both sides.

The Chillida range is the latest innovative product offeringfrom Mykon and was inspired by Eduardo Chillida, the Spanish Sculptor.
The range consists of sheets of high-quality steel chemically aged by exposure to harsh elements of weather over a short period of time to produce a visually stunning rusty effect. As each sheet of steel ages differently, no two sheets are alike giving a totally unique look and productevery time. After the steel has been sufficiently aged it is matt lacquered to seal the panel. Chillida can also be supplied with a black stain. The Chillida range can be used in many different applications including cladding, flooring and paneling.
A variety of sizes of steel can be aged. For panel sizes larger than 2500mm x 1250mm please contact the Mykon team to find out more.
Please note that as each sheet is unique Mykon cannot predetermine the finish of the tile.
