Interview with a teenager

You are being interviewed by your teacher. You will answer questions about your life as a teenager and your teacher will play the role of the interviewer. Your teacher could ask you the following: Tell me about yourself – personal information, name, age... What is a typical day like for you? What do you enjoy doing and why? What do you not enjoy doing and why? * What do you do to help at home?* What are your ambitions for the future? ! ! Remember at this point you will have to respond to something you have not yet prepared. The dialogue will last between 4 and 6 minutes.

1- Háblame un poco de ti: “Hola, me llamo (Charlie/Angela) y tengo trece aňos. Vivo en (Maidstone) con mi familia- mi

padre, mi madre, mi hermano Jack y mi hermana Sarah. También tengo un perro que se llama Toby. Mi casa es grande y bonita. Me encanta porque tiene jardín. Cuando era más pequeňo

vivía en un piso. No me gustaba porque era muy pequeňo. Me encanta mi dormitorio porque es azul y grande. Me llevo bien con mi hermano Jack porque es divertido pero no me llevo bien con

mi hermana porque es un poco fastidiosa y discutimos mucho. Tengo el pelo rubio y los ojos azules. Soy de talla mediana. También soy inteligente y bastante

simpático. Voy al colegio Cornwallis en Maidstone que es un colegio mixto y muy moderno. Estudio muchas asignaturas. Mi asignatura favorita es las matemáticas porque es interesante.

Me gusta también la historia y la música. pero odio el inglés porque es aburrido. Me encanta el espaňol. En el pasado me gustaban las ciencias pero ahora no me gusta nada. Pienso que es

pesado. En el futuro voy a ser electricista o ingeniero.

2- ¿Qué te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre y por qué?

• En mi tiempo libre me gusta hacer deporte. Practico la natación dos veces por semana porque es divertido y sano. También juego al tenis de vez en cuando. Me encanta salir con mis amigos el fin de semana. Vamos al cine, al parque o al centro comercial , también vamos al restaurante como pizza hut o Kfc porque la comida es deliciosa y no es cara.

3- ¿Qué no te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre y por qué?

• En mi tiempo libre no me gusta trabajar o estudiar. Prefiero jugar con la playstation o la consola X-Box. Para las navidades voy a comprar otro juego- “Unchartered 3,Battle Field 3 y Fifa”.

• Me gusta charlar con mis amigos o amigas pero odio mandar mensajes de texto o mirar el facebook. En el pasado me gustaba el facebook más, pero ahora prefiero quedar en persona y dar un paseo. No me gusta nada chatear por internet porque es aburrido e impersonal. Sin embargo a veces me gusta si la conversación es interesante.

4- ¿Qué haces normalmente?. Háblame de tu rutina diaria

• Normalmente me levanto a las siete. Me ducho, me visto, me peino y preparo el desayuno- cereales y un vaso de leche o una tostada con mantequilla y a veces un zumo de naranja. Después salgo de casa para ir al colegio. Voy al colegio en autobús. Las clases empiezan a las ocho y media y terminan a las tres. Tenemos un recreo de quince minutos y otro recreo a la hora de la comida. Después del colegio vuelvo a casa y hago mis deberes o charlo con mis amigos. También veo mi programa favorito en la tele. Después ceno y me acuesto

5-¿Qué haces para ayudar en casa?

• Normalmente paso la aspiradora y saco la basura. También quito la mesa y ordeno mi dormitorio. Nunca plancho porque es pesado. Tampoco lavo la ropa porque no se como funciona la lavadora. En el pasado ayudaba menos en casa pero ahora ayudo a mi madre un poco todos los dias porque en el futuro voy a ser independiente y quiero aprender las tareas domésticas

I have written about everything I included in my plan I have written at least 150 words (at least 3 decent paragraphs) I have organised my work, using paragraphs, so it is easy for the marker to read

I have used the present tense I have used a past tense I have used a future / conditional tense I have included at least 5 adjectives (also comparatives/superlatives if you can) I have included descriptions I have given my opinions, e.g. en mi opinion, pienso que creo que I have used linking words, e.g. y pero sinembargo I have given my preferences e.g. prefiero , no me gusta I have given reasons e.g. porque I have tried to use sophisticated language and expressions I have used a variety of vocabulary, e.g. synonyms I have used a variety of structures (not too repetitive) Spellings: Check any words in the dictionary you are unsure how to spell Accents: e.g. al / a la = to, a = has, é etc– (Especially past and future tenses. Adjectives: correct ending, gender? plural? is it irregular –e.g. bonitos / bonitas?

Verbs – Present – correct ending? e.g. hablo / hablan, is it irregular ? Verbs – Perfect tense . Verbs – Imperfect tense Verbs – Future – ir a + infinitive, correct part of ir eg voy, vas, va etc
