It’s very simple! You can craft things by following a recipe or discovering one and you get your item! You can use these tools to get around more, do things more easily, and be able to do things you wouldn’t be able to do with just your hand.

There are many things in Minecraft right now. However, after MineCon, which is in Las Vegas and will begin somewhere near the 18th or 19th of November, Minecraft 1.9 will be released, which will have many many more items.
Is Minecraft Free?
Unfortunately, Minecraft is not free. Well, the full version isn’t. You can download the free version, which is referred to as the cracked version. The full version only has a few things you can do. You can edit your player’s texture if you want, and You can join Premium Servers. These features are not needed, though.

What’s a Mod?
A mod is something you put in your minecraft.jar file. It can be used to make the game more fun. One of the greatest mods in history (In my opinion) Is the Aether Modification. (However, it’s not for 1.8 yet.)
