I created two post engagement ads on two separate periods.

The first post engagement ad was done during the Facebook Ads Basic seminar that I attended. It was co-presented by Facebook and Manila Workshops.


The second post engagement ad was for the podcast, The Joy and Ann Show, which I am one of the hosts.

Here’s the name of the campaign.


At the ad set, I only chose Facebook news feed.

I ran it for two days for US$10.00.

Also, I chose the days and time when the post will be seen.


I chose this audience.


I chose Link Clicks for optimization and delivery.


At the ads area, I chose Use Existing Post. I looked for the post that I will advertise.

Takeaway

I should have run the ad for 24 hours only. The fans of the Facebook Page aren’t a lot for now. They saw the ad thrice.

This time, I included Instagram for the ad placement.

I ran the campaign for 1 day with a P40.00 budget. I did not choose a specific time to run the ad.


I chose the lookalike audience of the Page to target.


I limited the number of times the adwill be shown to a person to one.


On the ads area, I chose the Facebook Page for Instagram

since there is no Instagram account connected.

At the ads area, I chose Use Existing Post. I looked for the post that I will advertise.

Takeaways

I should have targeted the Facebook fans of the Page instead of lookalike audience. The lookalike audience is cold audience. They have little knowledge that the show exists.

The post reached more than 2,000 people, but not even one engaged on the ad for both Instagram and Facebook.
