my digipak explanation

My Digipak explanation. I chose to take inspiration from a ‘Depeche Mode’ cover, because it was arty and also challenged the conventions of a typical digipak cover. But then I found a Foals remixes cover that I preferred even more. This is because it looks more modern and the colour combination is more eye-catching. Blue and pink stands out a lot as these colours do not typically match. Another one that backs up my idea to include a leaf on the cover of a digipak, is a New Order cover that I discovered. I initially went with a blue background, to emulate my inspiration, however it did not look as pleasing as these examples, so I experimented with greens. The idea of a leaf on the cover, to me, produces the idea of uniqueness, because all leaves are different. It is simplistic which is why I like it, but edited the leaf to be more of a rich / false yellow like this New Order cover because then it does not look like a nature CD.

It is simplistic which is why I like it, but edited the leaf to be more of a rich / false yellow like this New

Order cover because then it does not look like a nature CD.
