I love early diaries because they present a candid picture of life at the time when they were written. This diary has no name identifying its author. From the place references I am guessing it might have been in the Gilboa area. It was written in an O-K Seal Theme Tablet. It is one of my favorites because it covers the daily life of a woman on a farm there in the winter, but unlike some diaries, it records her feelings (most diaries are just factually flat). You realize these people are aware of world news as well as daily life. It was of course not intended to be shared with the world, but I imagine it as a short story or film because it portrays a picture worth sharing today. I am going to share the entries for January. I love early diaries because they present a candid picture of life at the time when

they were written. This diary has no name identifying its author. From the place

references I am guessing it might have been in the Gilboa area.

It was written in an O-K Seal Theme Tablet. It is one of my favorites because it

covers the daily life of a woman on a farm there in the winter, but unlike some

diaries, it records her feelings (most diaries are just factually flat). You realize

these people are aware of world news as well as daily life.

It was of course not intended to be shared with the world, but I imagine it as a

short story or film because it portrays a picture worth sharing today. I am going to

share the entries for January. It is titled simply My Diary for 1936.
