My best friends are Tommy and Rob. Tommy's got short, straight blond hair and Rob's got long, black hair. Tommy has got blue eyes and Rob's eyes are green. They are very different. Tommy's cheerful and confident. He never stops talking. Rob's quieter. I think he's a bit shy. Rob is totally lazy. He likes sleeping and he always gets up late. Tommy is more active. He does a lot of sports. We all go skateboarding in the park after school. Tommy loves listening to hip-hop and reading comics. Rob hates comics. He prefers reading books but he likes hip-hop a lot. They wear trendy clothes. Tommy's got a brilliant jacket but Rob's got more style. He always wears a fantastic pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap. When we've got money we go shopping for clothes on Saturday mornings. We often go to the cinema on Saturday nights. On Sunday mornings we sometimes go swimming, and in the evenings we meet up with our friends and go dancing.

My name is Gavin and I am 22 years old. I have done many dangerous sports in my life. I've been rock climbing in the Pyrenees, I've been scuba diving in the Mediterranean, and I've been surfing in California, but the most incredible thing I've ever done is bungee jumping.

The first time I went was two years ago when I was in New Zealand. I didn't want to go at first but my friend Sandra said it was fun. When we arrived at the bridge, I looked down. It was about 50 metres. There was no safety net, just lots of rocks and a small river. Sandra went first. The instructor put the harness on her. Then, she shouted "I'm Free!" and she jumped. Next, it was my turn. I wanted to die. The instructor put on my harness. I was very frightened. I didn't look down. I couldn't jump. The instructor said it was OK. She said I could wait. I wanted to go home and go to bed. And then, suddenly, I jumped. It felt like I was falling for ages. It felt great. It is the best sensation I have ever experienced.

I have been bungee jumping three times since then. I absolutely love it. It's the best sensation in the world. I think everybody should try it. Very few people have died when bungee jumping. Some people say it is safer than riding a bike.

How are you? I've been in England for a few weeks now so I can tell you more about my trip.

 

At the moment I'm staying with my uncle and aunt, and my cousin Pablo I’ve been here for a week. My uncle and aunt are quite nice, and Pablo is really good fun. I really like their house. There are boxes everywhere because they have just bought it. It isn't very big, but all the rooms are comfortable. There is a big garden where I spend a lot of time reading.

 

They live in a village near London. They have lived here all their life. There are lots of small houses in the area. Nobody lives in a flat. There are woods and a small river. As you can imagine, there aren't any skyscrapers.

 

I've been to London twice to visit the sights. The city is very expensive but my uncle and aunt give me a packed lunch.

 

English food is very different from Spanish food, but it's generally healthier. I'm eating a lot of salads and fruit. I like English breakfasts. They are big and have eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and toast, but I don't like tea and the coffee they make is too weak. The cakes are fantastic.

 

I've just come back from a basketball match with Pablo basketball is very popular here.

 

I'm having a great time.
