This is my analysis of my favourite music magazine’s covers which will

inspire my music magazine

VibeMasthead:

Part of the masthead is covered up by Kanye’s head, this shows that either Kayne‘s important and doesn’t like to play by the rules or that the magazine is well established and people should already know the magazine name.

Cover lines:

Names instead of quotes or incites as to what's inside the magazine as they stand out more to people who like these artists.

Pull quote:

Encourages reader to buy the magazine to find out more. Slogo:

“Best” suggesting that this is the best music magazine.

Internet Link:

Would appeal to target audience of teenagers as they are seen to be the most up to date with technology.

Skyline: Tempts you to buy the magazine so you can find out secrets.

Blender

Masthead:

Partly covered over by the main image, like “Vibe” magazine.

Coverline:

Presented in an arrow into the magazine to add interest and also shows who the magazine is aimed at as it says “download” and teenagers are the main group of people who download music

Name nearly as big as the masthead to show it’s the main feature.

Pull quote:

This particular pull quote would mainly appeal to girls a they are considered to be interested in gossip.

Coverlines:

Names of the artists bigger than the quotes and incites as if people like that particular artist they will be drawn into buying the magazine.

Skyline

BlenderMasthead:

The main image is behind the masthead, this could be to show that she is a “good girl” and that she is innocent unlike the other two magazine cover’s.

Skyline:

Use’s freebies as a motive to buy the magazine and make the magazine look like a bargain, which would appeal to the target audience as some of them may be students who don’t have a lot of money.

Main coverline:

The main coverline has play on words as one of her singles was called “My life would suck without you”

Coverline:

Although it isn’t the main coverline it is bigger than the other coverlines, this could be to show that the magazine find the band more important than some of the other artists in other coverlines.
