  • Name of Museum The ancient Greeks ate many different types of food. They had three main meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner where they ate all the different types of food. They also drank a lot of wine. It was their main drink. Ancient Greece Food Back to Room 1

Grapes were normally picked in September also because of the cool weather. Even though Greece did not have good soil 20% of land had soil that crops could survive in.   • Name of Museum The Greeks had a quick lunch. They normally had fruit and vegetables. Sometimes they ate meat like fish. The wives and daughter were the one who cooked all the meals. Typical ancient Greek food they had were bread, olives, olive oil, figs, and organic cheeses. They sometimes had this for lunch because they tended to always have these.
