multimess D9-PQ

The novel multimess D9-PQ power quality analyzer and fault recorder for low and medium voltage networks is the main component of a system that can handle all measuring tasks in electrical networks .

The multimess D9-PQ can be used as a power quality interface with network quality standard as well as measuring device for all physically de-fined measured values in alternating current networks. Apart from standard evaluations, the

The multimess D9-PQ fulfills the requirements laid down in IEC 61000-4-30 (2008) for class A measuring devices to 100%.

multimess D9-PQ also features a high-speed fault recorder with a recording rate of 40.96kHz/10.24kHz and a 10ms RMS recorder. Thus, it allows for a detailed assessment of network interferences.

The unit is especially suitable for mon-itoring, recording and evaluating ref-erence qualities or quality agreements between the energy supplier and the customer and make them available for evaluation and storage.

Advanced voltage quality measuring devices work in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-30 (2008) standard. This standard defines the measuring meth-ods to provide users with a good basis for comparison.Devices from different manufacturers that comply with this standard have to deliver identical measuring results.

The standard distinguishes two measuring device classes:

class A measuring devices are mostly used for contract-relevant measurements in customer-sup-plier relationships.

class S measuring devices can be used to determine statistic quality values.

Application of the multimess D9-PQ

5

multimess D9-PQ

Design of the multimess D9-PQ

The multimess D9-PQ was designed for measurements in public networks and measurements in industrial envi-ronments with a measuring voltage of up to 690V (L-L).

No moving parts (fans, hard drive)

CAT IV

The user can expand the storage space to up to 32 GB with an SD card (this allows for many years of recording without having to con-nect the device to a database)

Optional: “IEC61000-4-7 - 2 kHz to 9 kHz” (B1)

Voltage and current frequency measurement of 2 kHz to 9 kHz in accordance with IEC 61000-4-7.

The multimess D9-PQ can be mounted on the wall (optional mounting rail), integrated into the switchboard (optional mounting frame) or in a mounting rail casing

Mechanical design The multimess D9-PQ can be mount-ed on the wall, integrated into the switchboard or in a mounting rail casing. All connections are accessible via phoenix terminals. Except for the voltage and current inputs, the con-nections are plug connections. An RJ 45 connector is available for the TCP/IP interface.

Color displayThe device's color display provides information on whether the measur-ing cables and measuring transducers were connected correctly and displays online data for voltage, current, total distortion factor (THD), power values and energy. The number of occurring PQ events, oscillograph and effective value re-cords of the last day, week and month are shown on the device's display.
