Homework Policies 20%Homework is due the next class day unless otherwise notedIf you are absent on a day homework is assigned, it will be due after you return with regards to how many days you were absent (if you were absent 1 day, you have 1 evening to complete it; absent 2 days = 2 evenings to complete, and so on).I expect you to take responsibility in your homework assignments with regard to the due date, and working through the assignment on your own.30 points off for first day late10 points late every day after that until a zero is given

Quiz Policies 20%Quizzes will be given on average once a week, to assess understanding of the topic.

Some quizzes may be pop quizzes, so always make sure you stay on top of your work. If you do not understand an assignment, come in to tutorials!

Exam Policies 60%Exams are given at the end of each unit/topic to assess mastery of the topicOne exam is allowed to be corrected per semester (in tutorials) with the maximum grade you could possibly get being a 70Any student found to be cheating during a test (this includes use of phones, looking at another students exam, notes written on unapproved items, etc.) will receive an automatic zero, and parents will be notified.

TutorialsTutorials are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM 8:40 AMDue to after school practices, I do not offer tutorials after schoolAlgebra and Geometry continuously build on previously learned material from the first day in this course through the last. If you find that there is a small section that you do not understand, be sure that you come to tutorials for a few minutes so that we can go over the misconceptions! The ultimate goal is your mastery of Algebra 1 and Geometry.
