From  September  1986  to  December  1990,  Mr.  Artiles  worked  in  Miller  y  Cia,  S.A(  today  DIAGEO)  as  Commercial  &  Marketing  Manager  of  Food,Beverage  &  Spirits  department(  Johnnie  Walker  Scotch  whisky,  Tanqueray  Gin,Argentina  beef,  Rioja  wines  from  Spain,etc..)  with  30  people  under  his  responsibility.  He  also  was  in  charge  of  the  sales  team  and  key  clients.

                                                             Mr.  Artiles  specialized  in  International  agreements

He  has  been  in  China  with  Spain  businessman  to  negociate  a  JV  between  a  Chinese  enterprise  and  one  from  Canary  islands  from  the  food  sector.

He  went  to  New  York  and  got  the  franchise  “World  Trade  Center  Gran  Canaria”.

After  2  years  of  negociations,  Mr.  Artiles  was  able  in  2008  to  sign  a  Timber  contract  with  a  Chinese  Public  enterprise,  listed  in  Shanghai  Stock  Exchange,  for  the  supply  of  10  containers  of  Timber(  logs)  from  Democratic  Republic  of  Congo.

Mr.  Artiles  organised  a  breakfast  workshop  in  Madrid  for  Garrigues  law  firm  and  Chinese  law  organization.

He  went  to  Beijing  and  Shanghai  with  the  president  of  Las  Palmas  Port  Authority  as  his  personal  adviser.  In  that  business  trips,  they  had  several  meetings,  including  with  the  President  of  Cosco  Shipping  Corporation  and  the  President  of  China  National  Fisheries  Corporation.

He  is  always  looking  for  new  partners  worldwide.

Mr.  Artiles  has  been  interviewed  by  several  economic  newspapers  and  magazines  in  Spain  such  as  Cinco  Dias,  La  Gaceta  de  los  negocios,  Emprendedores,  Dinero,  La  Provincia  and  Canarias  7.  

He  is  also  a  teacher  of  International  Trade  &  Emerging  Markets  at  ESCOEX  (www.escoex.com),the  International  Business  School  in  Gran  Canaria  and  Proexca(www.proexca.es),  a  public  enterprise  who  belongs  to  Canary  Islands  Government.
