SZABIST is one of the few institutions in the region that understands the value of best practices in project management and thus

disseminates the same to its g r a d u a t e s . I b e l i e v e collaboration between PMI Islamabad Chapter and SZABIST shall improve educational standards as

As an architect with over 25 years of experience in planning, designing, and project m a n a g e m e n t o f a r c h i t e c t u r a l a n d development projects, I felt that there was a need to improve my project management skills to face increasingly complex project challenges. This program responds to working professionals, busy schedules in a systematic manner. Being an adjunct faculty at NCA myself, I found the instructors to be knowledgeable and well-qualified. I, therefore highly, recommend this program to project managers of the future.

MPMZABIST started its HEC-approved Master in Project Management (MPM) program in Spring 2009. Admissions are Soffered twice a year - Fall & Spring. With more than 1000

students already graduated, we have the most widespread alumni nationwide. More than 50 students of SZABIST Islamabad have obtained PMI certification of Project Management Professional.

MPM provides students with the tools and techniques to manage day-to-day activities of projects of different nature. The course is designed for people from all walks of life. For practicing project managers, it is a guide to enhance their capabilities and to solve typical problems that may arise from time to time. The concepts, principles, and techniques taught in this course are based on, but not limited to the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework, which is universally accepted and practiced.

To obtain the MPM degree, 9 courses and 2 Computer-Based Training (CBT) projects must be completed. Each taught course comprises 16 classes of 3 hours each. Computer software and related material along with technical assistance is provided to students to assist in preparing their projects after training. Classroom seminars, project management related games, visits to project sites, and guest lectures from international speakers are part of this program. The program takes a calendar year. The maximum time limit to complete the MPM degree is five years.

EligibilityApplicants with a minimum of sixteen (16) years of education / 4 year Bachelors / Masters degree from any HEC recognized educational institution with minimum 55% marks / CGPA 2.50 are eligible for MPM program.

AdmissionA computer-based on-campus entrance test. ORA valid NTS/GAT (General) result with minimum 50% marks ANDAn interview conducted at SZABIST Islamabad Campus

TestimonialsMS (PM)ZABIST offers an MS Degree (M. Phil. Equivalent) in Project Management. The purpose of this program is to provide Sresearch-based project management education related to a

student's field of interest. By providing the requisite skills and knowledge, the program paves the way to pursue doctoral studies.

Recognizing that concentrated studies are a challenge for working professionals during regular weekdays, we have designed MS in Project Management as a weekend program. A total of ten courses (including a 6-credit thesis) take a minimum of 1.5 years to complete. To obtain the MS degree, the student should have successfully completed a minimum of 30 credit hours, and have passed the GAT (General) examination with minimum 50% marks.

The maximum time limit to complete the MS degree is five years.

After BBA I decided to join the research f ie ld due to i ts growing scope in Pakistan. In future, I plan to pursue a d o c t o r a t e i n management and work in the academic s e c t o r a s a university professor. When it came to

selecting a university for MS, my teachers recommended SZABIST. It is one of the leading universities in the field of management. So I decided to join MS in project management. They have top-quality research facilities and the best faculty. My friends studying at SZABIST greatly encouraged me to join in. I graduated this year, and so far my experience has confirmed all that I expected from the program.
