WHAT IS MOTIVATION

Motivation is the internal feeling to accomplish a particular goal. In a work setting, motivation is what makes people want to work.

CONCEPT OF MOTIVATION

Today virtually all people and scholars have their own concept of motivation and they include various terms like motives, needs wants, drives,goals,wishes in defining motivation

the term motivation can be traced to the latin word movere which means “to move” in order to understand the concept of motivation , we have to examine three terms : motive, motivating, motivation

MOTIVE

A motive is an inner state that energises, activates, or moves and that directs behavior towards goals

MOTIVATING

Motivating is a term which implies that one person induces another, to engage in action to do the work in a right direction to satisfy both the employer and the organization.

MOTIVATIONMotivation depends on motives and motivating ,therefore it becomes a complex process . For example – motivation is the process to keep a person at work in an organization motivation is something that moves the person to action and continues him in the course of action.
