Dizziness, nausea, vomiting and sweating are the common symptoms of having motion sickness. Motion sickness not only ruins your holiday plans, but also affects that of your co-travellers. Here are a few foodstuffs, which can help you curb motion sickness. Ginger is attributed to work wonders for the treatment of motion sickness. You can have it in the form you like - ginger tea, ginger soda or ginger candies. If you are not a ginger fan, you can switch to peppermint. Ginger and peppermint, both, work in a similar manner. Peppermint and ginger oil can also help. If you are pregnant or a patient with blood pressure problems, please consult your doctor before consuming ginger for it is said to thin the blood. Garlic and Cloves are also found to be of help against motion sickness. Chew a few cloves or garlic, before embarking on your journey. Make sure to try this out once before your actual travel. Not every person can take up garlic and cloves well. Fenugreek, popularised as methi in Indian spices, is also rich in anti-nauseating properties. You can have fenugreek in any form you like. Fenugreek capsule, powder and tea are easily available in the market. A mixture of crushed fenugreek and mashed ginger can also be eaten together.
