As 2017 comes to a close, we are looking back on our 15wonderful years here at Majestic View Nature Center, andmy how we have grown! ABOUT THE CENTERArvada’s Majestic View Nature Center & Community Parkis a valuable resource, providing environmental educationand awareness of our natural resources. The park encom-passes over 80 acres, including wetlands, prairie, interpre-tive trails, demonstration garden, and a variety of wildlife.The building features hands-on displays, wildlife exhibits,classrooms, and meeting space. A variety of programs areoffered for the general public, school groups, preschools,scouts, and special interest groups. Programs presented atour site or yours.

Adapted from the Sun form, this Tai Chi is slow, easy flowingand centering. Join us outside in the beautiful setting of thegardens and lake at Majestic View (or inside the Nature Centerif inclement weather). Bring water and wear comfortableclothes. Majestic View Travel Series: Cuba, Lands UnseenTuesday, October 3, 7-8:30 p.m. Ages 10 yrs.-adult, $5.

Cuba: ninety miles off our shore and a world apart. Take a vir-tual tour by rail, bus and car through 14 of Cuba’s 15provinces. Joe McMillan will recount his trip from February of2017 with visits to Old Havana, sugar mills, San Juan Hill inSantiago and the Cuban side of the U.S. Navy base at Guan-tanamo. Not to be missed are the old U.S. automobiles fromthe 1950s, including a ride in a maroon 1957 Chevy Bel Airconvertible. We’ll drive though the outback where most of thepopulation still depend upon horses, carts and carriages, seemonuments celebrating Castro’s 1959 revolution, and take atrain ride or two, Come with us and visit the land unseen. ABOUT THE CENTERArvada’s Majestic View Nature Center & Community Parkis a valuable resource, providing environmental educationand awareness of our natural resources. The park encom-passes over 80 acres, including wetlands, prairie, interpre-tive trails, demonstration garden, and a variety of wildlife.The building features hands-on displays, wildlife exhibits,classrooms, and meeting space. A variety of programs areoffered for the general public, school groups, preschools,scouts, and special interest groups. Programs presented atour site or yours.
