CLASS OFFERINGSParent and Me Aquatics:

Ages 6 months - 3 years. Its purposeis to make children feel safe and

comfortable in the water.

Preschool Aquatics: 3-5 year olds. This course teaches the swimming basics with an

emphasis on safety and water comfort.

Beginners: This is beginningswimming for ages 6 and up.

Advanced Beginners: For students who have taken the beginners course but are still

in need of practice, we now offer anadvanced beginners course.

Intermediate: In this class, students will learn more advanced strokes and be able to improve and refine skills they have already

acquired. Students must be safe in the deep end and able to swim laps in order to enroll in

this course.

Advanced: For swimmers who are looking to further refine skills, get a workout, and learn some basic rescue techniques, we offer the

advanced class. Students must have passed all previous levels.

Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor,and Adult Classes:

Available upon adequate enrollment.

The Parks & Community Services team organizes hikes to promote awareness and appreciation of trails and hiking opportunities in and around our community. All hikes are free.

Know your capabilities before you participate in a hike. If you need physical assistance, please bring a companion. THE MOVANThe “MoVan” provides curb-to-curb transportation service to Moreno Valley seniors 60+ years and disabled adults within a 20-mile radius of Moreno Valley. Rides are only available to and from the Moreno Valley Senior Community Center and to non-emergency medical appointments. “Friends of the Moreno Valley Senior Community Center Inc.” sponsors this service. A donation of $1 one way within Moreno Valley and $2.50 one-way to non-emergency medical appointments outside of Moreno Valley is requested. Reservations are required a day in advance by calling (833) 745-8454.

HEALTH INSURANCE CARE ADVOCACY PROGRAMThe Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program is a volunteer supported program that helps Medicare beneficiaries of any age make choices about their benefits and rights. DIAL-A-RIDEDial-A-Ride is an advanced reservation transportation service for seniors and persons with disabilities. Service operates seven days a week. The base fare is $3 per passenger, per boarding. The maximum fare is $9 per one-way trip. For more information or to request a ride, call 1.800.795.7887.

SENIOR MEAL PROGRAM ELIGIBILITYA person must be 60+ years old. They are required to fill out the intake form once a year. The only exceptions to the age requirement is:• They are the spouse (any age) of a person who is 60+ years old. Both are required to have a current intake on file.• The disabled adult child (18+) dependent upon the person who they live with and accompanies an eligible person for lunch. Both are required to have a current intake on file. All other persons under 60 years old MUST pay $6.00 for lunch. Please donate what you can. The suggested donation is $3.00. All programs and activities for seniors are held at the Moreno Valley Senior Community Center. Active senior citizens age 50 and older who do not require special care or adult supervision are welcome to register. There is no membership fee. The Senior Community Center is located at 25075 Fir Avenue, just east of Perris Boulevard. Regular operating hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information, call 413.3430.
