Dyneon™ THV Fluoroplastic

Dyneon™ THV (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride) provides a combination of performance advantages, such as low processing temperature, ability to bond to elastomers and hydrocarbon-based plastics, flexibility and optical clarity. These combined advantages create new opportunities to make multi-layer hoses, tubes, sheets and films that can be used in a variety of markets and applications such as automotive, chemical processing, semiconductor, solar energy, optical fiber and architectural and protective coatings. Dyneon™ THV FP is characterized by the following features:

Dyneon™ ETFE Fluoroplastics

Dyneon™ ETFE (a polymer of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene) has excellent chemical, thermal and electrical properties, and outstanding resistance to abrasion and cut-through. It is critical in a myriad of industries such as aerospace, automotive and chemical processing.

Applications include wiring for nuclear plant control rooms, extruded and molded valves, tubes and pipes, low permeation tubing, UV resistant films, architectural films, and films used on the front of solar modules. Dyneon ETFE is characterized by the following features:

Dyneon™ FEP (a polymer of tetra-fluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene) offers excellent chemical inertness, heat and weather resistance, exceptional electrical properties, toughness and durability. It is an essential component in films, linings, tapes, wires and cables in a variety of industries including telecommunications, wire and cable, semiconductor, paper, chemical, textile, food processing and packaging. Dyneon FEP is characterized by the following features:

Dyneon™ PFA Fluoroplastics

Dyneon™ PFA (a polymer of tetra-fluoroethylene and perfluorovinylether) has exceptional heat resistance, excellent electrical properties and excellent chemical and weather resistance. It is used in molded valves, pumps, tanks, filters and pipes, in heat trace cables and in wire for appliances, computers and in the aerospace industries. It is also used in several chemical industries and home appliance coatings applications.

Our UHP (ultra high purity) grades are designed with very low metals and ion extractables for critical semiconductor and pharmaceutical processing applications, in components such as wafer carriers, pipes and tubes, fittings, valves and pumps. Our PFA-FLEX grades have exceptional stress crack resistance and flex life, as well as very smooth surfaces.

Dyneon PFA is characterized by the following features:

• Service temperatures up to 260°C (500°F)

• Excellent universal resistance to solvents and chemicals

• Excellent weatherability

• Excellent electrical properties

• High light transmission

• High limiting oxygen index: Does not support combustion

• Extremely smooth surfaces

• Non-stick characteristics
