Dear Community Members,

I would like to take a moment to welcome our new customers and to thank our loyal patrons for their continued support of our courses and instructors. I also wanted to tell you about some exciting changes we have made to our program.

First, and I’m sure you have noticed, we have changed the look and feel of our brochure. The new design is easier to navigate, provides more details about our courses, and allows us to highlight exciting new offerings in bigger and better ways.

We have also upgraded our registration system to a new platform called CommunityPass. The new system is easy to use, fast, and intuitive. The system provides upgraded security so that personal and payment information are always safe. Of course, my office will still accept registrations by phone, mail, fax or walk-in, but we are certain our online users will be satisfied with the updated features of the system.

Lastly, we are excited to offer great new courses this Spring, as well as increasing the number of options in our youth programs section. Our goal is to continue to offer modern, creative, informative, and fun courses that meet the interests and needs of our wonderful and diverse community. We feel that the Spring 2019 brochure is a great start to meeting this goal.

Again, thank you for your partnership. We look forward to continuing to serve you and our great community.

Sincerely, Dawn Singerline

514 Rock ClimbingNo other sport requires the tight mental

focus of a rock climb. Like a dancer on a verti-cal stage, a climber plans then executes each move with a combination of grace and preci-sion. Whether your expecta-tions are physical, mental, or problematical, rock climbing has something for everyone. You will not need the strength of a weight lifter or the flexibility of a yoga instructor for this introductory course. Instruction in rope handling, knots, spe-cialized equipment, climbing maneuvers, route finding, belay (safety) techniques and teamwork will set the tone for our adventure. You will be on a safety rope at all times; your belayer (safety person) will protect every move. The instructor has 30 years of climbing experience in the USA, Thailand, and Europe.
