The Christmas season is upon us. We have lots of fun planned. We have an elf in our classroom. Your child will be excited to find him each day. Watch for updates on Class Dojo. We will work on letters “L” and “M” this month. The children have been working hard to get ready for the Christmas program. We are looking forward to a fun night! We’d like to wish all of our families a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Fun Activity to try at Home: Recycled Cards Provide your child with bits of wrapping paper, ribbons, and pictures cut from leftover greeting cards. Let him or her glue these materials to heavy paper to make unique homemade cards.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”! It is so wonderful for us to share in the excitement and anticipation of the Christmas season with your child. The month of December promises to be a busy month for all of us, both children and adults alike. We have a few special days on the calendar so please keep your eyes on our parent board for any sign ups. Just a few house keeping items, I will be sending home bags for your child’s nap items. Please make sure the items you send back fit inside of the bag this will help with reducing the spread of germs. Also, we are missing some of our fantastic families on our family wall. Please make sure to send in a picture with your child so we can display it for them to see. Last, but certainly not least we have been working on the letters of our names so if you would like to work on something at home that is always a great place to start. We will be working on our scissor skills in the upcoming weeks so be prepared to find paper scraps EVERYWHERE! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” as the song goes. And that’s exactly what we will be focused on this month. We are progressing so nicely with our letter art craft. The children have become very proficient in cutting, as well as letter recognition. The children are getting more excited as Christmas draws closer. We will work on number recognition as we do a countdown to Christmas activity. Also, we would like to do a take home family project where you and your child will decorate a gingerbread man to share with the class. Finally, the practice continues for our Christmas program. We can’t wait to perform for all our families.
