MrTed is ranked by Gartner as one of the leading global Applicant Tracking System software firms in the world. The company services the recruiting needs of some of Europe and Asia’s largest companies and governmental entities. The company was founded in 1999 and has always been a subscription software or SaaS provider. The challenge for MrTed was to break into North America with their enterprise ATS solution, but was faced with a crowded market. They needed to develop a ‘breakthrough’ strategy to gain market and mindshare. MrTed had wanted to try to launch a free ATS into the North America but needed help and reached out to Montclair Advisors. Working closely with MrTed’s European team, Montclair Advisors was able to on-the-ground support to build out a strategy and reasonable business plan for their new operating entity. In addition to the business plan, Montclair Advisors worked with MrTed to assemble a targeted set of external service providers to develop a new brand and a public and analyst relations identity with important market influencers. As part of the rollout plan, Montclair Advisors secured reseller relationships with key service providers including Yahoo! and eQuest, who both provided revenue-producing job board services. SmartRecruiters was launched in October 2008 and currently MrTed has signed up more than 2,500 customers and has successfully penetrated the North American marketplace.
