Vocabulary

Earn: to receive money as payment for work that you do.Charge: to ask an amount of money for something, especially a service or activity

Waste: an unnecessary or wrong use of money, substances, time, energy, abilities, etc.Save: to prevent time, money, or effort being wasted or spentPay: to give money to someone for something you want to buy or for services providedAfford: to be able to buy or do something because you have enough money or timeCost: the amount of money needed to buy, do, or make something

VocabularyBorrow: to get or receive something from someone

with the intention of giving it back after a period of time. Ex: I had to borrow a pen from my teacher for doing my exam.

Lend: to give something to someone for a short period of time, expecting it to be given back. If a bank or other organization lends money, it gives money to someone who agrees that they will pay the money back in the future, usually with extra money added to the original amount.

Guess the word

One of the students thinks any of the words related to money that we have learnt. The student must write this word in a piece of paper and give it to the teacher with his name on it. The rest of the group have to guess which word he or she thought by asking yes/not questions.
