Becca Apfelstadt | CO-FOUNDER & CEO, TREETREEI co-founded treetree because I’m passionate about agency life. It was the middle of the recession, and I wanted to see where we’d end up if we started with a di erent model. Fast forward 10 years, and We’re The Agency of Special Projects®. Day in and day out, we prove that a smart approach to positioning and culture makes a big impact on the work product and the client teams we’re helping. I get energy from speaking on topics related to women in leadership, creative workplace policies, time management and productivity and treetree’s culture and workplace design. I’m honored to have been featured in Fortune, GrowWire, I Want Her Job and on the podcasts Women of Infl uence and Conquering Columbus, as well as to lead a Certifi ed Women’s Business Enterprise. I have two young children who keep me grounded, a husband who keeps me laughing and a French bulldog puppy who keeps me on my toes. Ashley Dick | RETAIL MARKET PRESIDENT, FIRST FINANCIAL BANKI’m from the Hilliard area where I reside with my husband and 2 children. I work for First Financial Bank, overseeing our Columbus Ohio from a retail perspective in the capacity of Market President. Throughout my career I have had the privilege of coaching and mentoring several associates and helping them to advance in their careers as well. I believe in creating a professional environment that is engaging, motivating, encouraging, while also challenging. I was fortunate to have a mentor along the way who told me ‘feeling challenged and uncomfortable is the only way we can truly grow’. Therefore, I believe the majority of my success in my career has been based on challenging myself- getting out of comfort zones. I have taken on several projects over the years that include but are not limited to community development, incentive goal planning, creating recognition programs, compliance counsel, and building a client experience platform. Over the years I have enjoyed becoming a well-

rounded professional focused on the innovation of the fi nancial industry.

She brings 25 years of construction industry experience across many market sectors and provides leadership and strategic direction to over 250 team members that are passionately committed to excellence. How I began my career in construction: I was basically born on a backhoe and my childhood playground was the company’s construction equipment, maintenance yard, company o ce, or a project worksite. My grandfather, the founder of Kokosing, always led by example and it is that leadership and guidance that taught me the meaning of hard work, “shirt sleeve” management and integrity. How I give back: How we give back evolves as we go through life and our career. My passion the past 10 years is expressed through developing the next generation construction workforce. In addition to supporting the state of Ohio by serving a second term on the Governor’s Executive Workforce Development Board, at our company I have also co-founded the Women’s Ideas and Strategies Exchange (WISE) program. This is a mentorship program that brings female construction team members together to share experiences and knowledge for personal growth and professional transformation. Why I like being in construction: Every road we drive on, every school we attend, every house we live in and every hospital we receive care at was built by the hands of our industry. The sense of pride and accomplishment after a job is closed out is second to none. Some of my favorite moments are taking my family and showing them what our team has built. What I hope my legacy in the construction industry will be: When I think about my footprint, I hope to instill a respect and passion for the construction industry and hands-on building.
