Paints Brushes Canvas Ideas

All that is needed is YOU! The EPTG is

hosting a family painting session on Sat-

urday, December 1 in the CES cafeteria. There will be two sessions: 9-10:30

A.M. and 12-1:30 P.M. Our fun and fabulous art teacher Mrs. Ackley will

guide students in transforming their canvases into a gingerbread master-

piece while parents create a personalized ornament. All supplies and snacks

are provided, and the cost is $15 per person. Please RSVP by sending in your

money in an envelope labeled with your time slot by Friday, November 30.

Calling All Artists!

K-5 students will be shopping at the

Secret Santa Workshop on Wednesday,

November 28 —Friday, November 30 with

their classroom teachers. A preview of

items will be in the building on November

19, and additional information will be sent

home soon. Volunteers are needed

throughout the

days to assist

shoppers and

wrap their

gifts. Please

use the Sign Up

Genius link that was emailed last week or

visit our EPTG link on the school website.

Our little shoppers’ generous hearts are

always happy and full when they are able

to “surprise” their loved ones with a small

token or a gift they independently picked

out and purchased, so please take ad-

vantage of this unique holiday opportunity!

*Fleece For Sale*

Please consider purchasing a

fleece for your child (or you!)

to wear during the cooler

months at school. These Lands

End fleeces are uniform

approved and are the only

outerwear that may be worn

during the school day. They are

navy blue, come in two styles

(full or quarter zip), and have

our new school crest on the

front. Prices depend on the

size and style and start at $25.

You may purchase them

ONLINE ONLY at

Landsend.com. Be sure to “shop

your school” and choose Cabrini

or enter our school code

900092289 so that EPTG is

able to receive credit for this

fundraiser.

* CONGRATULATIONS *

to our 4th grade students. We appreciate your creativity and hard work you put into

learning about your saints. THANK YOU for inspiring us to remain close to God and to

be holy, just like the saints you researched, each and every day.

Thank you to Linda Ferrence and

her helping hands for creating a

spooktacular evening for friends and

families at the Halloween Dance!

Keep savin’ and returnin’ those * BOX TOPS! *

A half sheet of pink paper has been sent home

to help organize those tiny pieces. Turning in a

sheet enters a student into a drawing for a

movie pass! This month’s deadline is Wednes-

day, November 28. Every single *BOX TOP*

helps support our EPTG and school programs!

Please welcome Miss Alberth, our

fourth grade teacher! If you can’t find Miss Albeth working hard in

her classroom, have you checked out the local corn mazes? You

might spot her hiding and eating cider donuts there! In her free

time she enjoys eating lasagna, reading (her favorite book is The Giver), and playing board games with her friends. During the holi-

days these next few weeks, Miss Alberth is looking forward to visit-

ing with her family from Chicago!

Introducing Mr. Hammis

Mr. Hammis joins our Cabrini family as our elementary music and

band teacher! The past few weeks, Mr. Hammis enjoyed carving

pumpkins and celebrating his birthday (the day before Halloween)

Did you know he is a huge sci-fi fan who loves Star Trek and Star

Wars? I wonder if his favorite day (other than his birthday!) of the

year is May 4! In his spare time, Mr. Hammis enjoys eating Mexican

food and reading the Bible. We appreciate his efforts in building a

comprehensive 5th-12th grade band program and in teaching music

appreciation, especially music of the Catholic church.

November’s character trait is

*FRIENDSHIP* How can YOU be a

great friend to EVERYONE in your

class?

October

Students of the Month

We have a few new

neighbors in the Library’s

freshened fish tank!

Which aquatic creature is

your favorite?

Our 8th grade Honors English

students are writing novels

during the month of

November as partici-

pants in NaNoWriMo

(National Novel Writing

Month). Their goals

are to write 10,000

words each! Check out

their progress each

week outside the middle school

wing.

Mrs. Bow's fifth grade class

wrote, illustrated, and read their

Halloween stories to the

1st graders. Together,

students enjoyed creating

a jack-o-lantern craft,

too. The 5th graders look

forward to reading their

stories about the First

Thanksgiving and helping

the 1st graders make turkey glass-

es this month!

A Prayer to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini

SHOUT OUT to MS7 for helping raise a

whopping $560 for the Pink Out! Ms.

Frankovich especially applauds their ener-

gy and efforts in surpassing their $200

goal. A special THANKS goes to Stevie

Schumm for motivating his classmates and

following through on his promise; Stevie

dressed up as Popeye and ate spinach!

Almighty and Eternal Father, Giver of all Gifts, show us Thy mercy, and grant, we beseech

Thee, through the merits of Thy faithful Servant, Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, that all who

invoke her intercession may obtain what they desire according to the good pleasure of Thy

Holy Will. (Name your request) St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, beloved spouse of the Sacred

Heart of Jesus, intercede for us that the favor we now ask may be granted.

THANK YOU EPTG for the delicious

Mediterranean dinner that was provided for staff

during parent-teacher conferences.

THANK YOU to the Pink Out committee: Mrs.

Pizzo, Mrs. Lovasz, Mrs. Hoover, Mrs. Stetz, Mr.

Bessette, and Ms. Frankovich for their hard work

in organizing this beneficial fundraiser. Cabrini

families, this year we raised $4,977.22 for our

warriors! Every penny, quarter, and dollar bill

that was donated to help the H.O.P.E Campaign

and 18 Fore Life are greatly appreciated.

MS3 Homeroom ~ What a GREAT group of 8th

graders! Thank you for starting my day with such

joy. I love our morning Talent Show!

SHOUT OUT to the 6th grade geography stu-

dents! What an awesome job you all did sharing

the culture of your countries. We learned facts,

heard music, saw pictures, and tasted food from

around the world. I’m so proud of the 6th graders!

~Ms. Eldred

KUDOS to the 8th grade Spanish stu-

dents for putting so much effort into

their Día de los Muertos ofrendas! The

family members you represented would be

proud! ¡Muy bien hechos!

~Señora Pizzo

THANK YOU Mr. Bessette for helping

with pizza & hot dog lunches.

THANK YOU to Kelly Stetz for being the

best teaching partner! I am having a

great time teaching second grade with

you. We make a great team!

~Mrs. Hoover

The 2nd graders are looking forward to

meeting with their Sacrament buddies

again! THANK YOU to all the 8th

graders who made the younger ones feel

so special!

GREAT JOB to the 1st graders who worked hard

on their family turkey projects! Stop by their

bulletin boards to see their creations.
