When you come in the classroom:

•Unpack your materials and hang your backpack on the back of chair.

•Put away materials; Place lunch money and/ or notes in tray on teacher’s desk.

•Move lunch apple (tree o board with apples, students move apple to board noted “buying lunch” or “brought lunch.”)

When you come in the classroom:

•Read directions on the chalkboard and begin morning work.

•You may sharpen your pencils at this time, if needed.

•Stay in seat and wait for further directions.

What the teacher will do to get the attention of the class…•1- 2- 3 (Freeze- Face me- Focus)•Turn off the lights

When you need to sharpen your pencil…•Always have 2 sharpened pencils in your desk; pencils may be sharpened before school begins and at other designated times ONLY.•If you need a pencil during the day, exchange your pencil for a sharpened pencil (the cup of pencils will be located by the sharpener)- this will help with the sharpener not disturbing other students.
