1 Leadership autocratica
Descrizion

Alcuni leader sembrano autoritari. Danno ordini e
decidono qualsiasi norma senza includere i membri del
gruppo nel decision making.
I membri sono più soddisfatti di una leadership
autocratica nei grandi gruppi orientati al compito.
Il principale risultato dell’approccio dello stile di
leadership è che diversi stili sono efficaci a seconda
delle condizioni. Date determinate condizioni, per
esempio, la leadership autocratica sembra essere più
efficace (per esempio quando deve essere presa una
decisione urgente).

2 Leadership democratica
Descrizion

Alcuni leader sembrano democratici. Stabiliscono
politiche attraverso la discussione e la decisione di
gruppo, incoraggiando e aiutando i membri del gruppo
a interagire, richiedendo la cooperazione degli altri e
venendo considerati gli stati d’animo e i bisogni dei
singoli membri.
La soddisfazione rispetto alla leadership democratica
tende ad essere più alta nei piccoli gruppi orientati
all’interazione. In alcune condizioni, uno stile
democratico può essere più efficace (come quando è
necessario creare un certo coinvolgimento del gruppo
per l’implementazione di una decisione).

Infine, alcuni leader hanno un approccio lassista. Non
partecipano per nulla ai processi di decision-making nei
gruppi. Ovviamente queste differenze nello stile di
leadership influenzano la produttività del gruppo e
l’attitudine dei suoi membri.
Ci sono condizioni in cui sembra essere migliore uno
stile lassista (per esempio, quando il gruppo è concorde
su una decisione, ha le risorse per implementarla e non
ci sono interferenze per lavorare in modo efficace).
