1. List 5 social problems in the order you want to resolve.

2. In 5 to 8 sentences DEFEND why did you decide to address the social problems in this particular order?

Lack of basic infrastructures in the community is the top concern among the social problems in the community because without these basic infrastructures, life will not be easy in the community and there will be no improvement in terms of their livelihood and education. High drop-out rates will result to illiteracy; as early as now they should be educated for them to have a better future. Deficient knowledge about disaster management should be addressed for them to be oriented in the upcoming disasters that will destroy their livelihood. In addition, I want to address their problem in terms of sanitation because there are high rates of dengue and diarrhea due to their unhealthy environment. And lastly, children are suffering from unsafe journey to school because of the adjacent location of the school. Furthermore, children will be late in school because their long journey to school; there should be an easy and alternative routes to school.

3. Guided by the social problems listed above, plan SPECIFIC solutions to these problems.

a. Kalsada Project – a road project for the community for easy transportation and safe journey to school.

b. Alternative Education Program- short courses will be offered for out of school youth in order for them to be educated.

c. Alerto Sakuna, Bente Kwatro Oras- a series of seminar about disaster risk management that will help the community to be oriented in the different disasters that will happen in the community.
