official club (stuff like presales, CD containing unreleased material), they too have their own discussion forum that has people moderating the chat
Quite a few online fan websites; two notable sites lpfancorner.com, and lpassociation.comBoth sites up to date with news on the regularLink to official band content (videos, photos etc.) Have their own fan discussion forums
On a side note, speaking of community...(there is no reason for me posting this other than me finding this hilarious, won’t understand this as much until you read full comic; full comic that I took it from here).
Finding your AudienceHad a few years of change in their sound that
led gaining some fans and losing some of their old ones
For the most part fans have stayed with them and the band has found their audience as they have still remained popular despite being around for long (compared to many groups that seem to come and go) and changing the way they sound
The 2 fan sites previously mentioned that are still very active show that they have found a way to connect with the public audience
Posting Meaningful ContentPlenty of behind the scenes content available to
fans that allow for their followers to truly get to know the band. Allows fans to see the hard work put into touring and
making a new album, getting that connectedness so that their music isn’t just a commodity.
Have released sneak peeks/previews of their new leading singles of their albums via Youtube
Subscription based official fan club LP Underground provide additional unreleased songs, gear and early access to ticket sales to make it meaningful to pay for membership in their fan club.
