Mobile Rounding Rewrite Enhancement Benefit Physicians are looking for more interactive/editing capabilities on the mobile rounding application for smartphones and tablets. Overview The current Mobile Rounding application for Physicians will be re-written using the Desktop Translator technology that is currently being used for the Patient Portal and other web applications. This will allow for more flexibility in functionality in the future. MEDITECH Application Routines Outline: I. Sign on screen and Main Menu 1. New Sign on page for full screen view 2. Preferences and Logoff options moved to the top right of the screen 3. Sign will be in Red if the provider has items to sign 4. Display of My Admitted/Rounds patients and removing patients 5. Display of Outpatient lists 6. Display of Find Patient, Find by Location, Coverage and Restore Accounts 7. Smartphone redesign II. Patient Level Menu 1. MEDITECH Dictionaries and Parameters To use the sign functionality, users will need to be setup as a provider within the MIS provider dictionary and enabled to esign. They also will have to be setup to E-sign. This is the same setup as it is for signing in C/S EMR or MAGIC Clinical Review. When there are items to be signed, the Mis Person/Profile setting ‘Select all for Electronic Signature’ will be looked to to determine if all items will be pre-selected. When signing orders, the drop down menu will have the options to Sign, View & Sign or Reject. The option to ‘sign’ will only be an available in the dropdown menu if the OM toolbox parameter ‘View before Order sign’ is set to No. 1

Enhancement Workflow cont.5. The Outpatient list will now display a weekly calendar with the daily number of scheduledappointments upon entry. Selecting the calendar will display a monthly calendar indicating whichdays have appointments and can be chosen. Clicking on a date will display the patient namesbelow the calendar.

6. Find Patient, Find by Location, Coverage and Restore Accounts● List by Location has been renamed to Find by Location on the tablet and Find by Loc on the

Enhancement Workflow cont.7. The handheld version of Mobile Rounding is redesigned to look and function more consistentlywith the tablet version. The smartphone will now utilize a new slider menu.

II. Patient Level Menu

1. There will be a new two column display of Results page on the tablet. The smartphone willdisplay the results in a one column display due to available real estate. If available, CBC and BMPresults will always display at the top of the page

Recent Results will display per calendar date, but clicking on the date will bring up a monthlycalendar where any date can be chosen. The arrows are also available to toggle between days.

Enhancement Workflow cont.2. The Vital Signs panel will display the last 5 dates/times that information was recorded inflowsheet form on the tablet. The smartphone will display the last 3 dates/times that informationwas recorded in flowsheet form. Footer buttons are available for Flow Sheet, Graph and Historydisplays on the tablet

Enhancement Workflow cont.The new Intake and Output display will mirror that of the new Vitals display. They will display in aflow sheet form with 6 columns displaying on the tablet and 3 columns on the smartphone. 1 Hr, 4Hr, 8 Hr, 12 Hr, 24 Hr footer buttons are available on the tablet to change the time frame viewedand there will be no time frame footer buttons available on the smartphone due to lack of realestate.

Enhancement Workflow cont.Items can then be graphed from the history view. Graphing has an option of hours/days to displayat the top and includes any instances within each section as before.

Enhancement Workflow cont.3. Medications replaces Meds & Allergies as Allergies now display in the header, summary and moreinformation (i) sections. Active, Discontinued and Pending Medications will display in their owntables. Allergies will display in the Summary panel.

Choosing a Medication will bring up a pop up screen with the Medication Details.

Enhancement Workflow cont.4. The Laboratory screen will display the same information as before with 'Flow Sheet' and 'MostRecent' (previously Current and Last Values) as footer buttons with the ability to scroll throughdays

A drop down of the lab sub panels will now be available.

Code Visit page will display the entire summary on the top half of the screen at all times on thetablet while the bottom half of the screen will display choices for each section. Code Encounterhas been renamed to Code Visit on the smartphone slider menu and will display one section at atime.

The Code Visit menu button will turn green once editing begins and the button will remain green ifthe user navigates to another page and until the coding is submitted on the tablet.

Enhancement Workflow cont.8. Items to be signed will be listed on the left in the same manner as the reports on the tablet.Selecting an Order, Note or Report will display the details to the right which are scrollable(reports/notes are expandable) on the tablet.

A green checkmark will be placed next to each item viewed, indicating that it is ready forsigning/pinning. Selecting the check mark again will remove the checkmark and remove the itemfrom the list of items ready to be signed/pinned.

After each section is populated, the screen will automatically move on to the next section.Selecting any section of the summary will bring back the items for selection

Enhancement Workflow cont.Choosing the Enter Pin footer button will display a pop up with the Pin field as well as a summary ofitems that have been chosen and the action taken: Rejected, Not Viewed, Signed.

Selecting an item in the summary will take the user back to that item on the sign list for review.Typing in the PIN and Submitting will Sign all items and take the user back to their sign list

Enhancement Workflow cont.The Back to Rounds/Back to Patient footer buttons will display a warning that leaving the routinewill clear all selected items. Choosing Back to Rounds will return the user to their patient list. Thebutton will be called ‘Back to Rounds’ in the Sign routine at the patient list level and ‘Back toPatient’ within an individual patient’s record.

Enhancement Workflow cont.9. The Summary page will replace Clinical Summary and has moved to the top of the menu on thetablet. Summary is the first option, within the patient record on the slider menu of the smartphone.Additionally, Allergies will be displayed in this panel instead of in the Medication and Allergies panel.
