    MSC IN A CAPSULE

    1. Get Physical SIMs from PES Team2. Get the Physical SIM activated in production in prepaid / post-paid plan (according to

    requirement) from Internal ConnectionsTeam3. For the activated SIMs, get the test APNs (trialwap,trialyesinternet and trialinternet) added

    to Production Proton from Internal ConnectionsTeam

    4. Get PES Teamto add the Production activated physical SIM to Test Environment5. Provision the physical SIM which is activated in production and added to Test Environment,

    through OPOM.

    6. While provisioning through OPOM do not choose your own MSN for the SIM but provide theMSN of the physical SIM which is activated in production

    7. Add the test APNs (trialwap,trialyesinternet and trialinternet) to Proton in Test Environmentfor the provisioned SIMs

    8. Get the MSNs added to White List with the help of Mobile VAS, Messaging IMETeam(Nimalan THARMAPALAN )

    9. Follow the steps to setup the Handset which is used for TestingNokia

    a. Factory Reset the Handsetb. Setup the Handset with Test APN Details and Test SMSC Detailsc. Get JSON File (Java Script Object Notation File) which is specific to each Handset

    from the Nuance Teamand place it in the Phone Memory in the location c:\data

    IPhone

    a. Setup the Test APN using IPhone Configuration Utilityb. No JSON Files are required

    10.Put the Physical SIM in Mobile Handset11.Try to access GOOGLE through Handset Browser using Test APNs. If it is failing and all the

    above processes are done correctly then check any of the following went wrong

    a. Check if the handset will support the APN we installed in the handset for example(i) Trialwap and Trialyesinternet for Nokia(ii)Trialyesinternet and Trialinternet for iPhone

    b. If we are using Trialyesinternet APN for a Prepaid Connection make sure we have enoughbalance in production. For Post-paid this check is not required.

    c. Check how many users are currently using the APN using which we are trying to accessGOOGLE. Each test APNs have the following band widths

    (i) Trialwap APN64 users at a time(ii)Trialyesinternet6 users at a time

    (iii)Trialinternet6 users at a timeIf still we are not able to access GOOGLE using the APNs then need to contact Lab Team to

    check whether APNs are up

    12.Try to send SMS from NMC server (Test Environment) to the Mobile handset. If failing checkwith Nimalan THARMAPALAN whether Test SMSC is responding properly.

    13.From the URL download the application in the Handset.14.Once the application is downloaded successfully and all the above settings are made try to

    access the application.15.Once the application is selected it will take some time for provisioning if the handset used is

    Nokia. We can know whether provision is happening or not by

    A double headed arrow will be displayed below the tower showing range in the

    handset which will indicate provision has started

    If the arrow is not displayed or just started and then stopped we need to check the

    following.

    JSON File is installed correctly JSON files installed is selecting the requested APN

    If JSON file is not selecting the correct APN make it fixed with Nuance Team

    For IPhone provisioning delay is not there

    16.We can get the provisioning status from the NMC server17.Once provisioning is done we will be able to launch the application18. If we are getting Technical Error screen while launching the application check the following

    APNs are working good (By trying to access GOOGLE through Phone Browser).If not

    check with Lab Team

    NMC Server is up. If not check with Nuance Team

    Home screen of the application is getting details from which webservices.

    For Example: - For the Prepaid application the home screen displays the MSN andthe balance details which is obtained from Prepaid Enabler layer. Check whether the

    Prepaid Enabler is up else check with Webservices Development Team

    19.Once the application is launched successfully and if we are getting technical error whilenavigating into other screens, check the corresponding Webservices which is responsible for

    launching of that particular page and get it fixed by Webservices Development Team. If not

    the issue with Webservices get the NMC logs from NMC server and check with Nuance team

    20.For Recharging or Payments using Credit Card the user will be navigated from the MSCapplication to N-Screens which is an external site.

    21.For N-Screens issues we need to get is resolved with Korey Budgen.22.For recharging using Credit Card Touch will be involved.23.Map a Credit Card Number against each Error Screen which needs to be covered while

    testing through Touch .Provide those Credit Card numbers to Korey Budgenfor adding it to

    Touch. While testing if we provide that Credit Card Number corresponding Error screen will

    be displayed.

    24.For Payments of bill using Credit Card Smart Pay will be involved.25.The Request Provided from N-Screens will be directed to Smart Pay and once the payment is

    done Smart Pay will send back the response to N-Screens.

    26.For Smart Pay related issues we get support from Smart Pay Support Team

    27.For testing the Error screens which is related to Smart pay, we need to get the list fromSmart Pay support Teamand they will provide the list of Error screens and that document

    will explain how we can implement each error screen.28.We can get the Prepaid Recharge vouchers from PES EnvironmentTeam29.For the Prepaid MSN we can set and get the Balance details and Usage details from PPIN.30.Once the Balance details and Usage details are setup for an MSN we can check those details

    in Mobile Handset and should match the PPIN details. If displayed wrongly

    a. Check in webservices how the details are getting fetched from PPIN. If the Webservicesare fetching the details wrongly get it fixed from Webservices Development Team.

    b. If Webservices are fetching the details correctly then take the NMC logs from the NMCserver and check with Nuance Team.

    31.For Post-paid MSN we can get the details in Arbor.32.We can provide the usages for a particular MSN through Espresso.33.Check in Arbor the usages are generated correctly.34.Run the CDC, the usages will be loaded to Vertica.35. If the usage details are displayed wrongly in Vertica compared to Arbor, we raised issues to

    36.Verify the usage details displayed in Vertica is displayed in Mobile Handset correctly. Ifdisplayed wrongly then

    a. Check in webservices how the details are getting fetched from Vertica. If Webservices arefetching the details from Vertica Wrongly get it fixed from Webservices Development

    Team.

    b. If Webservices are fetching it correctly then take the NMC logs from the NMC server andcheck with Nuance Team.

    37.We can generate bill for a particular BA through Espresso.38.Check in Arbor, Bill is generated successfully39.Run CDC, bill details will be displayed in Vertica40. If bill details displayed in Vertica is not matching compared to Arbor, we raised issues to Cap

    41.Verify if the bill details in Vertica is displayed in Mobile Handset correctly. If displayedwrongly then

    a. Check in webservices how the details are getting fetched from Vertica. If Webservicesare fetching the details from Vertica Wrongly get it fixed from Webservices

    Development Team.

    b. If Webservices are fetching it correctly then take the NMC logs from the NMC server andcheck with Nuance Team.

    42.For Call Forwarding details we can check in Proton43. If the Call Forwarding details are not matching correctly in Proton then

    a. Check the webservices which are responsible for the setting and getting the callforwarding details. If the webservices are fetching the details wrongly get it fixed from

    Webservices Development Team.

    b. If the webservices are fetching it correctly then take the NMC logs from the NMC serverand check with Nuance Team

    44.We need to verify the Application Screens against the wireframes provided by Nuance. If anychange is there we need to make it fix with Nuance Team.

    45.Check in ZOO CSR an additional Link is provided for Mobile Self Care46.Check for the MSN in ZOO CSR for which provisioning was successful47.ZOO CSR should display the Provisioning details for the particular MSN as displayed in NMC

    server
