Product DescriptionMKseriesremoteindicatorsaredesignedforusewiththeBENDERLIM2010LineIsolationMonitor.AremoteindicatorduplicatesaudibleandvisualalarmindicationsontheLIM.Allremoteindicatorsincludeagreen“SAFE”LED,ared“HAZARD”LED,anda“MUTE”buttonwithanintegralamberLED.The“MUTE”buttonisusedtosilencetheremoteau-diblealarm.Optionally,itcanalsobeusedtosilenceallaudiblealarmsinthesystem.

Operational InformationGeneral: Theremoteindicatorsarecontrolledbya12VDCsignalfromtheLIM.Agreen“SAFE”LEDstaysilluminatedwhilethesystemisinthenormalcondition.

WhentheLIMgoesintoalarm,thehazardlineisenergized.Thegreen“SAFE”LEDextin-guishesandthered“HAZARD”LEDilluminates.Whilein“HAZARD”mode,theaudiblealarmwillsound.Whendepressed,the“MUTE”buttonshallmutetheaudiblealarmsignal.ActuationofthisbuttonshallcausetheintegralamberLEDtoilluminate,indicatingthattheaudiblealarmhasbeensilenced.Whenthehazardcurrenthasreturnedtotheaccept-ablelevel,thealarmindicatorsshallautomaticallyreset.

Test Button: The“TEST”buttonwillputtheLIMthroughthetestcycle.Thisbuttonmustbeheldforapproximatelyfive(5)secondstocompletethetest.

Load Monitoring: Theloadmonitoringfeatureprovidestheabilitytomonitorthepercent-ageofloadusedonthesecondarysideoftheisolationtransformer.Thisisaccomplishedbyfeedingonelegofthesecondarywiresfromthetransformerthroughacurrenttrans-former,andsettingthesecondaryamperageoftheisolationtransformer.TheLIMcalcu-latesthepercentageofloadbeingused.Whentheisolationtransformerapproaches80%ofratedpower,aflashingamberLEDilluminates.When100%ofpowerisreached,aflash-ingamberLEDilluminatesaswellasanaudiblealarm.

Digital Display:The“CBM”optionfeaturesadigitaldisplayshowingboththetotalhazardcurrentandthepercentageoftransformerload.
