• We are in a digitally progressing society.• Youth are multi-tasking in a way we never would have

imagined.• The internet as a whole is contributing to literacy of new

generations.• The wealth of knowledge provided by the internet is

endless and far outspans any single source prior to the internet.

• Without technology, there are things we would never be able to learn.

• Quick access to news, instead of waiting for the morning paper, allows a new level of literacy and to stay current in the world.

• Educational programs and sites, by far, enlighten the literacy of people today.

• Sites like YouTube, which have their negative aspects, can also provide a large learning environment for people.

• Literacy can be defined widely, but learning what SMH, LOL, BRB, etc. mean is a form of literacy.

• Technology is full of “push” notifications that divert our attention and cause us to stray from our literacy objective.

• Too much technology has lead to children with a serious lack of attention span.

• The decline in common sense can be seen by the number of scams that are fell for daily.

• The shortening of statements to a few letters, its lazy.

• False Information!!!• Dependency to technology has created a generation of

people who can’t function in a non-digital environment.• Kids these days are working on so many things at once,

that they lose retention skills and have to constantly relearn.

• Young adults and children these days don’t know how to separate the good information from the bad.

• Technology as a whole has improved literacy.• Great points when referring to students trying to afford

text books.• More tools allows more door to be open for learning.• We can learn anything we want, and we can learn it now.• Technology isn’t the problem, its training people to use it

properly.
