Lincoln Medical Education Partnership opened more than 30 years ago to train family medicine physicians. We have evolved into a multi-dimensional organization offering a variety of healthcare programs and services. The School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) program works with schools throughout Nebraska by providing tools, resources and trainings to address behavioral health issues that impact children, adolescents and their families. Stepping Stones for Families improves the health and well-being of families who are having trouble dealing with difficult life situations or meeting basic needs due to economic, medical, behavioral health or educational fac-tors. SSF offers outpatient counseling and evaluations for those struggling with sub-stance use. The Nebraska Cancer Research Center (NCRC) provides local access to cutting edge cancer research in partnership with the Lincoln oncologists and hospitals. NCRC is a member of the MVCC Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), created by the National Cancer Institute to bring cutting edge clinical research to com-munities.

El Centro de las AmericasRoy Rivera

We believe that having a medical home is not a privilege, it’s a necessity. We encourage cli-ents to improve their quality of life by obtaining regular dental and medical checkups. Our outreach programs help educate our community about the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. El Centro serves as a liaison for the H/L community and several health organizations (e.g., People’s Health Center and Clinic with a Heart). We want our clients to know that they can receive medical services, even if they don’t have insurance.

Cooperative funding ensures local relevance and impact. Fund-ing for extension is shared by Nebraska counties, state government, federal programs and grants, and private entities. Extension works closely with rural & urban County Extension Boards, local businesses & organization to ensure that local-level needs are being addressed to improve lifelong learning for all people in the community.
