Assistant Professor Aileen Pidgeon is a Clinical Psychologist andco-director of the Mindfulness Resilience Wellness Centre at BondUniversity. Aileen has had her own meditation practice since 1990.Aileen has presented on the neuroscientific and contemplative aspects ofmindful approaches at international conferences. Her own extensivetraining and exposure to contemplative-related work includesprofessional training intensives in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction(MBSR) led by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and MindfulnessBased Cognitive Therapy with Zindel Segal. Aileen has attendedMindfulness-focused Trainings as well as Contemplative Workshops orRetreats led by Jack Kornfield, Sylvia Boorstein, Sharon Saltzberg, andJerome Front. She has also lead successful and innovative retreatworkshops.
About thePresenters
Dr Eleanor Pidgeon is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Yoga(YTT200) and certified Pilates instructor. In her personal andprofessional life she practices integrating mindfulness with bodymovement therapy. She explores creative ways to blend acontemporary knowledge of human movement with Pilates, yoga andmindfulness to help people flourish in their lives. Eleanor has workedwith a vast cross section of people from children, adolescents to maturepersons, and athletes, those with back pain, chronic pain and illness,hypermobility, and injury. She has professional training intensive inMindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy with Zindel Segal.

Assistant Professor Peta Stapleton is a registered Clinical and HealthPsychologist and is Program Director of the Masters of ClinicalPsychology program, and co-director of the Mindfulness ResilienceWellness Centre at Bond University. Peta specialises in eatingdisorders, women's health and adolescent issues, and has served asPresident of the Eating Disorders Association of Queensland numeroustimes. She recently led a world first randomised clinical trial investigatingEmotional Freedom Techniques against Cognitive Behavioural Therapyto treat food cravings in obese adults, and is now researching theapplication of EFT to eating, activity and resilience levels in overweightyouth.
