Mind senses the world.Look at this man!

He is plucking a flower.

Look at this incident!

The body does not know that it plucks a flower. Nor does it see even. The mind is the one that needs this flower to drag towards him. But it has no arms to do it. What it does is send the body there to bring it closer to him.

What does it expect by sending the body there?

It can not touch the flower. Nor does it drag. What it does is getting the feelings. That’s all.

Mind can see the flower, but body can not. (if the body has the power to see it, even a dead body can see the flower.)

Mind can smell the fragrance, but the body can not.

Mind can take the tactile sensation of the flower, but the body can not.

So, you can come to a conclusion that the body is just like a DEAD BODY even if it is alive. But mind wants the body to move to get its feelings.( five feelings.)

SEE! WHOEVER THE CREATURE IN THIS UNIVERSE HAS THE SAME PHENOMENON.

There is a nice example given by the Lord Buddha regarding this phenomenon.

There is a disfigured person who does not have all 4 limbs from his birth but he has eyes & another one has all 4 limbs but does not have eyes. Both, one day had a discussion to go for a journey. One can not walk but can see & other one can walk but can not see. Both were thinking for a while about the method they should use in going. One fellow got a good idea. The blind man asked the disfigured one to climb to his shoulder & sit on it so that the blind man can walk & disfigured one signals the pathway. Both went the picnic without any trouble.

Likewise, the mind is the one can see the path & the body can not. What they do is joining them together so that they can go along this SANSARIC PATH.

In this context, you can see that the body is only a scarecrow. Mind is one moving the body from within.

On the other hand, the mind feels or senses the 5 sensations. The BODY RUNS IN SEARCH OF SENSATIONS. That is, IN SEARCH OF PICTURES, in search of sounds, in search of fragrance, in search of tastes, in search of tactile sensations.

So, think a bit!

Though you call your body is going behind the world, it is the mind that needs to see the world. Mind senses the world by using your body from within.
