Milwee Middle School Discipline Protocol

Forms-Detentions, Referrals Lunch-Escorting students to lunch the 1st three days of school School supervision-AM/PM ISS Dress Code Hall Passes

Lunch Detentions

Teachers can assign 1 to 3 days of lunch detention for not meeting Spartan Expectations.

Please call home to inform parents of detention.

Fill out the detention slip provide the student a copy (white), keep one copy (pink) and

provide the discipline office a copy (yellow) so it can be logged. *please refer to bottom of detention slip for clarification.

Please ask student for their signed copy after the student has served their detention for verification.

If student cannot provide proof of serving detention please contact discipline office.

Escorting Students to Lunch

Only on the 1st three days of school all grades will be escorted to lunch.

For the 1 day only please walk the students down to the cafeteria 10 minutes early for an administrative assembly.

Wednesday Detention

Teachers can assign 1 hour of Wednesday school by completing the notice of detention form.

Make sure you have documented that the parents were contacted and the student has a ride home.

Please follow the same procedure for form collection and distribution on previous slide.

School-wide Supervision

AM Duty Stations

Signup sheet

10 four week rotations

Report at 8:55 am until 9:15 am.

Upon teacher absence please assure that a sub is made aware of the am duty.

*If you cannot locate a sub please contact the discipline office to make arrangements.

School-wide Supervision

PM Dismissal

Buildings will be dismissed by the front office.

Teachers please walk students to the nearest point of departure according to the color coded dismissal map.

ISS Procedures

Only administrators can assign students to ISS

Teachers please refrain from sending students to ISS for social interaction i.e lunch, activity period.

Discipline will notify the teachers by email as to what students are assigned to ISS and duration.

When a student is assigned to ISS make sure that all make up work is submitted to discipline before their assigned days.

Dress Code Procedure

During morning announcements please check students for dress code compliance.

Students deemed out of compliance are sent to discipline for compliance and consequence.

Students that are not able to get into compliance will be assigned ISS the rest of the day.

Discipline will notify teachers in that event.

Hall Pass Procedure

Please only allow students out of class with your hall pass.

In order for students to obtain your hall pass please sign their planner.

This will help determine how often the student is leaving class on a particular day.
