    Introduction

The aim is to build a sensor system for infrastructure to vehicle (I2V)communication,

transmit the information provided by active signals placed on the roadto adapt the vehicles speed and prevent collisions.

By active signals we mean ordinary traffic signals that incorporate long-

range active RFID tags with information stored into them. This information is collected in real time by RFID receiver module

    placed onboard of the vehicle

A microcontroller, then compares the speed measured by the sensorwith information provided by the I2V infrastructure and allows the

efficient adaptation of the speed of the vehicle to the circumstances ofthe road

motor-screw pair jam the vehicles accelerator pad and apply brake toreach and maintain a given target speed.

Working: Every vehicle will be having one unique RFID tag

The zone speed limit info will be stored in the database of road infrastructureinstalled on road side and constantly send .

The receiver tag on the vehicle receives and decodes the signal and extract the info.

The speed sensor measures the speed and gives this info to MCU through ADC

The above two variables is compared and decisions are made by the MCU

If speed is higher than the limit MCU sends ctrl signals to jam the accelerator padthrough stepper motor

Simultaneously a braking system operates to reduce the speed slowly to avoidaccident

If the speed is equal or less no action is taken.

Planning & Goals: We plan to complete the program for receiving signals and

comparing the data operation in next phase.

Braking system deployment will be completed in next phase.

Then debugging of the programs will be done.

Finally the hardware & software will be integrated together.
