Proposal for Kenya
fDi Markets is the only online database tracking cross-border Greenfield investment
covering all sectors and countries worldwide. It provides real-time monitoring of
investment projects, capital investment and job creation with powerful tools to track
and profile companies investing overseas.
fDi Markets is a central bank of information on the globalisation of business and is an
indispensable tool for multinational companies, investment advisers, economic
development organisations and research institutions.
fDi Markets is an online tool enabling users to access it from any computer, whether in
the office or when travelling. Access is granted by a Username and Password.
Since 2003, it has tracked over 5.7 trillion Euros of investments globally from over
45,000 parent companies (130 000 single) and is an indispensable tool used to:
Identify potential investors – develop a database of high potential investors aligned
to specific target segments, and track real-time the investment projects of individual
companies and key decision makers
Assess investment opportunities - identify the sectors and geographies offering the
best FDI opportunities based on empirical evidence
Develop a targeted strategy - understand the investment opportunities from a sub-
sector, technology and business activity perspective.
Evaluate performance - benchmark success in attracting FDI measured by number
of projects, jobs and investment secured
Understand corporate location decisions – view investor decision criteria for over
20,000 projects, and how companies map-out their global value chains
Support sales & marketing activities – quickly identify high potential companies to
target for investment and trade missions and to participate in investment seminars
Investor Signals Identify hot prospects – covers all sectors and markets globally.
Provides users with early indicators that a company is planning an
investment/expansion
Through extensive online training and discussions with the team, we can encourage
them to use the system effectively to spot opportunities they would not have spotted
otherwise. This is one of the unique characteristics of this system and is why all the
leading IPAs globally are subscribing to it. No other system offers as much critical
information as fDi Markets.
Furthermore, fDi Markets is tracking almost three times more investment projects than
any other provider ensuring more total coverage.
fDi Markets is proven to save time, cost and resource which in the current environment
is critical for any government department
