Overview

Microsoft Office is one of the most widely used Suites among organizations globally and it is the gold standard of productivity software. Despite so many

of us using Office programs in our daily lives, they can be a challenge to master without the right Microsoft Office basic training. Similarly, Managers and non-finance executives in various institutions need to make informed decisions to succeed and survive in current business environment that has continued to be dynamic and uncertain. They need financial information since they use it in appraisal and de-cision making but also to understand the flow and control of corporate financial resources. The only way to master this, is through a refresher course for those who have some knowledge on the subject matter, and a training, for those seeing it for the first time. It is in this regard that ICPAR has organized a two-day workshop for non-finance managers and also other individuals with a finance background, but wish to refresh themselves with some terminologies, whilst combining it with a widely used software trio of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to facilitate participants learn the fundamental Ins and Outs of this Office program.

Objective of the training

The objective of the training is to provide participants with the needed knowledge and skills required to be in position to seek explanations from finance col-

leagues and subordinates whilst changeling some of the accounting decisions that could have been taken unknow-ingly due to insufficient knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting transactions, thereby saving the Organization a lot of resources, that may be used for other vital investments. The workshop is also intended to make participants understand business funding, financial statement analysis, cash versus profit analysis, equip basic knowledge and skills on the software trio of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint among others. This workshop will form the basis of the planned advanced Microsoft office that shall follow suit.
