• A tiny particle that needs a host to live (cell or even bacteria)

• They are extremely small ( smaller than cells)

• Made up of DNA and RNA• Damage or kills the cell it infects• Not all viruses make you sick• Pathogenic viruses make you sick• Viruses can spread thru air,

touch, insects, animals, and bodily fluids
