Michael Cohen Bio Michael launched Catch Interactive in September 2008 to help companies create a Social Media marketing strategy with tactics that can be built into their traditional brand and direct response marketing mix. Since 1995, Michael has worked in interactive as a manager, consultant, and investor - most prominently as the President and Co-Founder of the pioneering online marketing services and technology firm, iballs Internet Media. Under Michael's leadership, iballs helped to define the Internet's value as a marketing channel for dozens of clients including Bose, J.Crew, Hearst, News Corp., Netscape, OfficeMax, The Princeton Review, Sony, USA Networks, and others. iballs was purchased by Aquantive in 1999, where Michael led process and technology integration prior to a successful IPO in February 2000. Most recently, Michael served as a Partner, Interactive Marketing Director for Ogilvy & Mather, where he developed interactive marketing initiatives for Kodak and IBM. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of the full-service interactive agency Market Maker Interactive, where he worked with clients such as Christie’s, Meredith Publishing, Voxant, and Sleepy’s. Other companies for which Michael has held management positions or made investments include The Echo Nest, Skiphop, Upoc Networks, eDiets, and Max WorldWide. He is also a co- founder of the East Yoga Center studio in Manhattan's East Village (see EastYoga.com) Michael has a B.A. in English from Tufts University, an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University and lives in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn and Sag Harbor with his wife, two daughters, and three dogs.
