We desire a team player who is familiar with SNF/NF admissions, hospital referrals and discharge plan-ning. We are seeking someone who is comfortable with MaineCare and Medicare regulations. The successful ap-plicant will work with the Director of Social Services. Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt to frequent changes that arise in a health care facility. Job Require-ments: The desire to work with and serve the elderly and their families is the primary job requirement. Also included in the job requirements are: excellent interpersonal, com-munication and customer service skills; emotional stability, maturity, patience, moral integrity and compassion; an understanding of appropriate ethics and confidentiality required in handling of resident records and personal infor-mation as defined by Health Insurance Portability and Ac-countability Act (HIPAA); awareness of issues related to resident physical and mental safety and well-being; experi-ence with reporting allegations of abuse as defined by State and Federal regs; knowledge of computer program-ming and data entry; experience with bereavement/grief counseling - a plus! Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in social work or human services, including, but not limited to, sociology, psychology (LSW or LSW-C or higher). A Maine license from the Department of Human Services, as a Licensed Social Worker. Solid working knowledge of MaineCare and Medicare requirements and regulations in a health care setting.
